No odds get better the longer the game goes on as long as they don't score a winner too early. Hoping for 90 mins at 2-2. Then the odds should be pretty good or a win in fergie time.

I reckon your odds would have been best after 24 mins and before 25 mins.........Go check the spread bet sites for per second betting!!!!

That's because of how the game panned out and the timings of the goals

At 0:2 Joe mentioned putting a bet on but I suggested he waited till later because with that long to go in the match the odds for him were rubbish.

If it was 0:2 or 1:2 with 5 mins to go then I suspect that's when Joe would have had odds worth betting on.

You can't afford to wait with football ....most of the time.

But as soon as Utd scored the odds would have reduced drastically even with ten minutes to go...check the spread sites...the odds go on volume of bets as well as the 'chance' of a result. The spread site odds are never far from a traditional bookies prices. If you want great prices go to 'bet fair'

Obviously the odds reduced when United scored and then reduced again but at 0:2 he didn't want to takes odds at 13-10

Waiting may well have seen the game still 2:0 with 5 mins to go but the way that game panned out and the timings of the goals - there was probably no point in the game worth a punt.

Anyway - It's been 20 years since I gave betting up LOL

That's exactly it phil. If I am going to put a bet on then I only will do so if it is worth it. Putting on a fiver to win a quid isn't worth the effort

Breaking News.................

Ugly scenes in Amsterdam tonight after Joleon Lescot and Carlos Tevez seen getting off the team bus together...........

No footy following tonight ?

I missed everything and have just caught up with the scores.

In terms of the groups I think Arsenal will still be OK.

City are starting to get a bit adrift. They have a tough group but I guess being relative newbies the seedings will always deal them a bum hand till they can establish themselves. I'm still not sure just how savvy Mancini is.

Looking at Celtic in 2nd (having now played Barca away) I think they have a decent chance of getting through esp with the luxury of not having to worry too much about domestic matters.

no excuses for city. ALL of their players have CL experience, they have at least 3 players that have won it! The most expensively-assembled team of all time 1, Ajax team that cost less than £3 million 3!

thats the beauty of football. On the day it doesn't matter how much your team costs, sometimes you just get beat by a team who play better on the day

I'm not saying that they shouldn't be performing better - just that (regardless of player experience) the club themselves are newbies to the CL and as such get a tougher group draw due to the way the seeding works.

So today was Arsenal's AGM and it didn't disappoint, but for all the wrong reasons.

Stan Kroenke made a rare appearance, but remained virtually silent and he was so disinterested he was virtually asleep.

Ivan Gazidis was the highly paid puppet man that stood there to take the flack for the others whilst reiterating over and over that the club had "ambition".

Peter Hill-Wood yet again demonstrated what an utterly contemptible, out of touch individual he is by finishing the meeting with "Thank you for your interest in our affairs."

Wenger was the only one who came out of the event worthy of any respect.

I'm so frustrated by it all that I still can't write a coherent summary of what has happened.

Just opening my curtains to see if there's a blue moon...Downing has scored

HI ALL.

i went to see arsenal play at the emirates. great atmosphere and was surprised wilshere started. he was a cut above the rest though and still nowhere near his best. he will be our rvp/henry/fabregas player ie the man we rely on.

he is just world class. will become as good as iniesta/xavi one day.

Back to the game we played with more urgency and belief but still lacked some spark.

Santos was SHOCKING in the first half. he played as a bloody left winger leaving our defence with a back line of 3. QPR kept attacking santos's side and he was nowhere to be seen. Plus he tried to do daft skills in the ****ing left side of our half for some stupid reason.

Total fool he is but he upted his game and played better in second half staying in defence.

Ramsey had a bright start to the game. did well as a right winger but faded in the 2nd half.

Wilshere came off and walcott on to spice things up and ramsey moving central and we did well. Sagna and walcott linked up really well providing some fantastic dangerous crosses(one led to the goal).

Sagna is miles better then Jenkinson. fantastic defender and a winger too.

Carzola missed a sitter. he was poor today. so poor that even Ramsey played better then him.

Girud worked hard. he played great. kept the ball well, won 9/10 of the headers and worked his socks off. great job.

We got lucky at the end. QPR went all out attack while our defence fell asleep offering QPR golden chances. they had 2 one on ones!

overal a great game. FANTASTIC atmosphere and thats £50 well spent! i am no longer a armchair fan :)

Not a great performance and in the end a lucky win, but I'll take it as we need to stop the rot. Just hope we saved a little luck for the next game.

Not sure I agree with your analysis of all the players but delighted you had a good day out and are no longer an armchair fan  :)

Good open first 25 mins or so in the Mersyside derby.

Phil Neville. A disgrace to the game with dives like that. I sincerely hope the powers that be ban him for twelve matches.

Luis' celebration was pure genius. Didn't think I could love him any more before that. Such a cutie.

Ooh, can't wait to see this piece of genius tonight! Must be pretty special

Lauren Moyes, daughter of the Everton manager, tweets (which has now been deleted): "Very surprised my dad didn't just nut Suarez."

Linesman was wrong. Should have been a goal. But on balance it was a fair result. Worth it just to see moyes and the toffees fans furious at the genius goal celebration from Suarez who was easily man of the match

Thought Everton should have put the game to bed in the second half and Liverpool were unlucky to have the 3rd goal ruled out. Probably a fair result in the end.

Easily the best goal celebration ever

Although technically it wasn't a goal it was an assist.

Curious to see Moyes thoughts on coin throwing, vile chants and fence pushing motions from the crowd and wonder if he thinks it'll turn people away from football. Blue noses show their class again.

Happy with the score line at half time although Chelsea finished the half the stronger. We normally get zip at Stamford Bridge and history shows a whole raft of wrong decisions that have cost us not just games but titles. Fully expect something controversial in the second half but hopefully in our favour.

That's just shocking from Mark Clattenberg! United gifted the game here just as they looked to be beginning to get overwhelmed by Chelsea.
