If that is true it's nuts.

Good value if it means not having to play Henderson though ;)

Joking aside I guess 5m for a season = 25m for 5 seasons which isn't out of the norm. I guess the question of value is down to what's agreed in relation to the % of his wages. 70K of his 120K was what I saw quoted.

I'll be interested to see how Kagawa and RVP shape up today.

Great to see we've a CB returning (in the form Evans) even though Carrick starts again.

de Gea

Rafal
Carrick
Vidic
Evra

Cleverley
Anderson

Valencia
Young
Kagawa

van Persie

SUBS: Lindegaard, Evans, Scholes, Giggs, Rooney, Welbeck, Hernandez.

I suppose so, but it doesn't build for the future does it? I wonder if we have an option to buy if we make CL?

Big season for Anderson.

I thought Liverpool were happy not to have an option to buy but Arsenal were only after the loan if there was an option to buy.

That said. If it suits both clubs at the end of the loan I guess they can do what they want.

PS

Good goal from RVP

I think they've agreed first refusal if Madrid decide to sell him, but no automatic right to buy.

United V Fulham is starting to remind me of the United V Everton game of last season. Far too Complacent.

Strange game that one.

United played some good stuff in the first half. Kagawa the pick of the bunch.

Poor second half and were hanging on. Dembele looked good.

Rooney has a large gash - Giggs will be after him now LOL

It looked pretty innocuous. Rodallega probably wearing blades rather than studs.

Had to laugh at Welbeck's reaction. Big Jessie.

The bonus is he'll be unavailable for the first two qualifiers so we might play well. ;)

Fergie said 4 weeks but I suspect it's a guess at this stage.

Certainly be missing for the qualifiers though.

We all know what Fergie is like with estimating injury times. No doubt in two weeks he'll still be saying 4 weeks then spring his name on the squad list as last minute as he can. Wily old devil!

Not nice for him to get harmed like that but delighted that he'll be out if action for a while especially for the England games.

When kagawa scored I was rueing my decision to swap him for hazard but then he went and scored and got an assist so it was the right decision.

I did the opposite Joe. Considered hazard but deided to keep Kagawa. Unfortunately I kept Rooney too after toying with the idea of swapping him for RVP.

Either way I'm having a complete moose so far in the fantasy football.

One saving grace is that I didn't transfer anybody this week so I'll be able to make two free ones before the next round.

Stoke fans boo Aaron Ramsey again. Words can't describe the level of contempt I have for Stoke fans. Absolute scum.

To b fair wenger is harsh on stoke and arsenal fans are just as guilty of booing shawcross.

Wenger is justified on Stoke and Arsenal fans understandably boo Shawcross because he shattered Ramsey's leg. It didn't happen the other way around!

It was an accident, something that happens in football. Wenger needs to get over it and move on. If it was the other way round our fans would do the same.

Wenger hasn't mentioned it since it happened, to my knowledge. I can't think of another instance where fans have subsequently boo'd the victim for having their leg broken. There are cases where the same player has been boo'd for something else but never because they fell victim to a horror tackle (deliberate or not). Of all football fans, Stoke have to be the very lowest. I also refuse to believe that our fans would be moronic enough to do that.

Of course they would. Londoners are no less nasty than stokies. The majority of the match attending public are moronic.

In other news a good point against city today, we played really well, better than them and should have won the game were it not for a silly defensive error. Superb free kick from Suarez and a great header from skrtel. Pleased with that.

Joe Allen the most accurate passer in the league so far too. Got a class player there!

I'm not pleased, but I am okay with it. We gifted them two goals and pretty much ran the game making them look very ordinary. We HAVE to put our chances away though.

Joe Allen was excellent, but I hope Lucas isn't too badly hurt.

Its de ja vu of last year with lucas, albeit earlier. Have to say though whilst shelvey isn't as good at bossing the midfield, he certainly knows how to have a shot.

Shelvey was excellent today. Allen took the Lucas role anyway so Shelvey could just play. Lucas has just a strain hopefully due to being out so long.

I think I must have jinxed Liverpool today because whenever I watch City they do something.

I heard Liverpool were leading 1:0 so popped through to have a look and City scored the min I switched the TV on.

Went back outside to finish cutting the grass by which time Liverpool were 2:1 up and the min I walked into the room 2:2

It was the same last season when I switched on to catch the last few mins of the season.

That must irk some. ;)

If only you popped in again and made it 2-3

Great point for The Arsenal today, looking like champions.

Yeah. Wenger really seems to be On the ball. 2 games and no goals. No need for another striker then.

Against 2 of the most defensive teams in the league based on % possession of opponents in behind their defence last season.

Lots of teams will go away disappointed from Stoke and Sunderland. They're decent sides that know how to stay organised behind the ball and leave no gaps.

In the previous 5 games we've played at the Britannia we've lost 3 so a draw today is fine.

You're forgetting that our new strike force are barely a full game into their playing careers in the PL.

For the amount you berate Arsenal and Wenger, I hope you take no pleasure in our wins.

Give it time and we'll start looking more assured in the end product.

At least we haven't conceded, I'm sure you've given our defence a fair bit of criticism previously!

Take a look at the first 3 games of last season with RVP and Song, don't take a genius to work out the better team. We look solid at the back, nicely balanced in midfield, only a matter of time before the forwards start scoring. I'm very happy with what iv seen so far. Sunderland first game of the season was never going to be easy. Stoke its there cup final playing Arsenal, we normaly get bullied off the ball, and end up losing, not this time!

I was happy with the draw

I watched the game in full last night.

Fantasic goal from Suarez but he's still bango's and barn doors when it comes to his finishing.

Shelvey looks like a breath of fresh air. He reminds me of Shaun Wright-Phillips when he first burst onto the scene. Allen looks a class act and wise beyond his years.

Not sure if you have anybody in mind but I think a decent striker would see you up there.

I agree on all counts. We have to sign a striker, but I'm pretty sure there is no real money. Dempsey is obviously being talked about, but he's not really a striker, is he? I honestly do not know what will happen and who is available in our price range, but I expect whoever we do sign to be a bit leftfield as is Buck's usual MO.

We do, of course, have a couple of youngsters coming through and Adam Morgan has a brilliant record at under 18's and reserve level. Reminds me of Robbie Fowler.

Sahin is a brilliant loan signing and could be an integral part of the side however long we have him for.

The Stoke fans who boo Ramsey are deplorable.

Why do they boo him? Because he got his leg broke. Classy.

They are morons. There can be no other reason.
