Ok I'll post mine, I may revise before the deadline but now my thoughts are

1 Man Utd
2 Man City
3 Arsenal
4 Liverpool
5 Chelsea
6 Tottenham
7 Everton
8 Newcastle
9 Sunderland
10 QPR
11 Stoke
12 Fulham
13 West Brom
14 Aston Villa
15 West Ham
16 Norwich
17 Southampton
18 Wigan
19 Swansea
20 Reading

Perhaps a little optimistic with QPR but why not! Bottom 6 I may change a few times more, can't really make my mind up, especially with how the promoted teams did last year.

Final teams and changes have to be made before KO Sat.

As an aside if there was enough interest happy to run a championship one.

I'll put one together after work today.

How are you scoring it ?

Is it just the most number of correct placings ?

So is this fantasy league just for fun?

This one is just a fun prediction thing

There's also the TP Fastasy Football thread - which is also for fun.

Cool. I'll post my predictions later then.

I'm going to hold out until the end of the transfer window before predicting if that's ok? Think there's going to be a lot of last minute movement this month!

although you wouldn't think so when you see how seriously phil and james take it

Joe is like a Swan

Appears to be all calm and relaxed but secretly paddling away like mad under the surface.

Plus - you need to watch out for his incognito fantasy teams.

I don't know that I would call it desperation. But it is certainly to have an immediate effect, which is against the normal method from united isn't it. Normally they buy to build but I think the shock of not winning a trophey last season has made them change that process somewhat in an effort to have an immediate effect.

With the sugar daddy clubs coming into the game and just out bidding everybody for big name players then you need to change tact to try and identify future talent. That said United have gone for upcoming players for years now although Fergie has always been happy to bring in an established player if circumstances are right.

We've brought in 2 young and 1 fairly young player over the last few weeks.

I certainly wouldn't read too much into it one way or the other.

Remember City were in for RVP, he just didn't want to play for them.

So do you think we'll have as much drama as last season and as many crazy upsets?

Some of the most dramatic from last season:

swansea beating city 1-0
spurs beating liverpool 4-0
liverpool losing to swansea, qpr and wba
man u 8-2 arsenal
crystal palace 2-1 man u
sunderland beating city with that late goal 1-0
and of course that match where united got thumped 6-1 at home.

What about Peter Crouch's volley being described as bad goalkeeping....if that would have been RVP, Rooney or van basten - the world would have gone nuts.

What about 1st Managerial casualty? (premier only)

I am going for Steve Clarke.

He will sign, all be it a day late!

:bonk:

all over the media it is reported agger is signing. You are supposed to have an inisde source - who keeps getting stuff wrong. If he signs today, or tomorrow then your exclusive is no better than me telling you that saha was going to sign an hour before it happened

Where has my source been wrong more than once?

Well you don't indicate exactly when something you are predicting has come from your source and when it is just your own prediction so it's hard to say exactly.

you're still yet to prove that rvp did in fact meet with fergie back in may - so until that is proved right, it's wrong, then yesterday the agger prediction was incorrect. Who knows why above you said:

RVP failed medical?

was it your source (incorrectly?)
was it you thinking he might have?
or was it merely a precursor to allow me to joke about his back

Face it tom your source is no more reliable than John down the pub ;)

RVP has just signed

was this from your source or just the general media that announced it before your post?

p.s I'm only toying with you

Changed it a bit as we pretty much all got the top 6 and top 2 right last year, if not in the precise order.

So:

Correctly predicted in bottom 3 or top 6 - 1 point
Correctly predicted in exact place - 3 bonus points (does not have to be in bottom 3 or top 6).

Whilst I am slightly terrified at what our wage bill must be like, our transfer business has been superb.

Indeed, but you have to remember that we've also shelled out relatively little in transfer fees. Of course, with those wages, it adds to the pressure on making sure we stay in the premier league.
