whey hey lescott

Is it just me that thinks Parker is having a shocker? He seems to be all over the place which isn't what we've come to expect from him!

Nobody's closing anything down in the last 30 yards or so.

We deserved to concede that goal, we just sat off and invited them the last 15 mins. We need to score and keep possession for a change, not sit back and try and defend

A draw would be a great result though

Just too slow. He seems to want to take 5 touches before considering a pass. I wouldn't mind but he's only ever going to pass it 5 yards to the side.

Yep - we've sat off far too much since going ahead. As soon as we scored Young and Welbeck became isolated.

I just wish the England team had a bit more composure. They panic like buggery when under the slightest pressure at the back. Hoofing it anywhere. That's the main difference I noticed after watching Spain Italy and how they make each other available for 3 yard passes all the time.

Still, there's a chance we can get something out of this and give us a bit of confidence

yeah but Malouda's even more annonymous:)

First Manchester City players to score in a Finals :suspect:

Agreed. Off the ball his positioning and interceptions are great (except for the goal) but in possession he seems so indecisive. He dwells on the ball and often picks a poor pass.

Very pleased with how our back four are looking though!

Yep - back four look good although we were always going to be strong there.

Have we got enough elsewhere to win those games where we don't keep a clean sheet though. That's the test.

Better than expected though?

Cautiously pleased I'd say.

I'm happy to see an England side that finally looks structured and organised rather than just 11 individuals!

Well I think England were lucky to escape with a draw.

Have Parker, Milner & Gerrard stopped holding hands yet?

Not sure I want to watch another England performance like that.

Gotta BR reasonably happy. France are no mugs at present.

We looked a bit deep at times, and personally I'd like to see us keep the ball a little better but it's the old adage isn't it, don't lose your first game.

I'm pleased with the draw based on the balance of play.

Hopefully we can go on and improve now.

Fair result don't think we were threatened a great deal but seemed too content to sit back and soak it up at times tho

I think all we can do is hope as I don't see us improving when we seem to be scared to pass to a marked player.

Joe Hart didn't give me much confidence tonight, although it was probably Glen Johnson's best game for England.

Surprised to read that. I thought we did well and played with confidence and organisation. I'm pleased with the result and the performance and hopefully we'll build on that.

Could have been a lot worse IMO and the defence looked a lot better than previously, a draw against France with a mainly new team bodes well I would have thought.

Can you see us scoring from open play with the same line up? Dreadfully lacking in any conjuring tricks to open up a defence.

Yeah I can, oxlade chamberlain could get through, young setting up well beck or Milner like he did today. I think we were always happy with a draw today the other 2 games we will want to win.

I think all of our games are going to be 1 or 2 goals in total though.

I thought I might as well slip in this cartoon before things really does get heavy later on down the line . . .

Don't forget the big hoof out from the back either when we go route 1:D

The newco will still be voted back into the Spl tho "the right thing to do is actually the wrong thing to do" in this instance

Can't see any SPL clubs voting against the new club starting in the SPL anyway.

3 years of no European Football means even if the new club starts in the SPL - 3rd place gets the 2nd European spot.

Still to be decided what further SFA Sanctions could be applied though.

I guess the sad part is that whilst the Rangers 'association' will still connect them to the newco - they will in effect be a new club with no previous honours or history etc etc - no doubt the source of much future Old Firm banter.

The Celtic fans will be having a field day although as much as they hate to admit it they need Rangers,

Word on the street is the biggest story of Rangers indiscretions is soon to be announced:eek:

Can someone please take that scouse tit Carragher out of the ITV studio and shoot him - or failing that give him some speech lessons!! ITV coverage is soooo lame!

I thought Carragher was the saving grace of the ITV coverage actually.

Just somebody else from Liverpool FC that'll spend 2 weeks sat on his arse.

Joking aside - he does stutter a bit and his grammar is poor (not talking about his accent) but he does come out with some good stuff. I don't mind him.

Carragher is well regarded as someone who does know what he's talking about, he watches , reads and follows football constantly, he'll certainly go into management in his later career.

The way he's says stuff however .... Well the jury is out on that one

I think Carragher's doing OK, it's just the rest of the ITV coverage that's ****.

BBC's is far better IMHO :)

Jamie Carragher is another reach for the remote person.....even the subtitles can't keep up with him....it is like a 12 year olds text conversation with their mates!

So then

140 Years of Rangers FC

HMRC have been accused of "misleading" Rangers and giving fans false hope

How about misleading the SPL and giving fans false triumphs Mr Green?

If I were a fan of Rangers i'd be very wary of Mr Green's comments. I have no confidence that he has the best interests of Rangers in mind.

Well what a strange game that was. Portugal walking it, Denmark score and fightback.........what are Portugal doing?

Denmark second goal and they fall apart :shake:

Still - had a good laugh at Ronald Mc D missing at least two sitters
