Disappointed in Utd, not one shot on goal. But, its not over till the fat lady sings.

Jeeesh! This reminded me a some Europeans games in past years, where United simply looked outnumbered. Hopefully, that'll leave some of the blues knackered and Newcastle will bounce back and beat them at the weekend. Still a job for The Reds to do though.

Gareth Barry gets my man of the match, closely followed by yaya toure. Both were superb! Ferdinand impressed me for united.

Rooney was simply abysmal. Utterly absent. He got frustrated within a half hour and never got his head sorted after. How he didn't see yellow for his perpetual protesting to the ref I don't know!
Hasn't had a good game in weeks tbf

not good from utd... but carrick was outstanding. For those of you who can spot a proper footballer you'll see that i'm right with that observation.

Newcastle will win the league for united... no question

Hats off to City, they were far better than United in creating chances and when they did get near the opposition goal they also tried to score. Disappointed with the result but have no complaints with the way United did not play. PJS looked like I do when playing football with kids nowadays.

Both managers were great during their touchline spat, I just wish they wouldn't make such a big fuss over it on the telly.

For all those plonkers who cried about a certain Mr G Neville becoming a Sky pundit, I wonder if you are eating humble pie now. He has elevated his knowledge to another level with his passionate, unbiased comments. A true pro.

I wish I could believe that I've got a ticket for the Sunderland game and hope there is something riding on it:)

I have a feeling that city will drop points and that man u will win, at least my heart says that. I don't understand the Rooney knockers, 2nd or 3rd best scorer this season, and as a striker he is reliant on the service he gets.

Agree about Neville though. Best pundit I have seen. Very knowledgeable.

I didn't realise Newcastle have Chelsea tomorrow, so scratch what I said about them perhaps being fresher on Sunday. I dont see cit having any trouble in either of their last games :shake:

Talking of pundits, is it me or does Robbie Savage suddenly appear to be everywhere? I was listening to 5 live for the City/Utd game and he's not bad but once he gets a bit excited I can't understand a word he says!

As for Neville being a great pundit. Nope. He is still a little rat boy. Can't stand him. Although I do prefer him to any gray.

+1

Can't stand him either. I'm not a violent man, but for some unknown reason, I get the urge to slap him silly lol

But united are getting a lot of calls their way.

Basically now inviting united to score which they will.

Young on. Scorecards at the ready.

Ahhhhhh beautiful. Really enjoyed watching united lose, especially when they were so poor. City battered them and should have won 2 or 3 nil.

Ferguson should learn to shut his cake hole, mouthing off like a little child when de Jong simply got his legs caught up. I can't wait to see the after match interview to see the pain on fergies face.

It all hangs on Newcastle and qpr though, the magpies will give a game that will be a much tougher test than united gave here. Can't see city winning it still, even though they were excellent tonight.

I think you need some help Joe - you're worryingly bitter

Now where did I put my ibuprofen :bonk:

He's absolutely shocking. I was using the radio for commentary too and half the stuff he says is load of rubbish. Even after you get over his ridiculous bias and his relentless use of "you know" to finish off each sentence, there's no actual quality to his commentary. In the final 20 minutes of the game all he had to say was "i still feel united will get one more chance" repeated about 10 times before rounding off his commentary with "city have been the better team, they've had a goal you know". Thanks for insight, Robbie, you complete and utter moron!

I'm actually quite a fan of Neville, though. When he began doing the punditry side of things I was pretty sceptical but he actually remains remarkably unbiased and is genuinely insightful rather than having nothing to say but still feeling the need to make noise.

I remember seeing Neville do some World/Euro Cup coverage years ago and thought he was the best of the bunch at the time. I've not heard hi on Sky, but am sure most criticisms are driven by personal dislike.

In my experience you're right.

I have quite a few Liverpool friends and whenever we've watched a match together the opinion seems to be that they dislike him because of who he is but accept that he's very good. I still think he comes over as being slightly uncomfortable but that should improve as he becomes more experienced.

And on podolski, great signing for arsenal I hope! He has a 29% shot conversion rate compared to RVP's 21% which bodes well but we'll have to see how he gels with the team.

I'm certainly looking forward to seeing him - was there any mention of the fee ?

Also - just been listening to Woy's England press conference. I thought he came over very well.

If I paid any attention to him I might agree with you, but I can't stand the little rat boy so I instantly turn off as soon as I here him speak. Little cretin he is.

£10.9m is the figure I've seen written in a few places but it's supposed to be undisclosed so how accurate that is I'm unsure. Think there's supposed to be a pre-season friendly against Koln as part of the deal.

I've also heard rumours that Lewandoski(sp?) is on Arsenal's radar. He's scored 2 more than Podolski this season in the same league.

There's a definite German flavour to how Wenger is mixing up this new Arsenal side, which I'm loving!

Bloody hell, forgot all about the matches midweek. On holiday do only just caught the score. Another woeful night at anfield, and an own goal to boot. Lousy.

Losing at home to fulham for any team is poor. Proves though that Liverpool are a mid table side and that the Messiah is no better than Roy.

He's not the Messiah, he's a very naughty boy.

Little cretin he is.

Come back when you are as successful in your chosen trade sunshine. There is nothing cretinous about Gary Neville.

Seriously though Joe, why do you keep telling us you said this and that .... it's irrelevant (but comical (but in a sad way))!

BTW, would be interesting to see King Kenny's record compared to Hodgsons.
For who? Who cares about mid table clubs that aren't making progress?
Teams that are there after gettin promotion I understand, but a team that have been faffing about, with more concern about own history than progress, pfffft!

Must be one for each of Giggsy's title medals

Ok I'm back, hugely successful in my chosen trade. So what's next? Can I continue to complain about rat boy now?

By the way, here is an example of the superb commentating of rat boy. How blessed we are to have such knowledge commentating our games.:lol:
