Surprised you didn't hit the post Joe LOL

PS

Wigan have given Liverpool permission to talk to Martinez

Lol indeed phill, lol indeed!

Apparently Brendan Rodgers is also on the short list. Wouldn't be the worst manager choice.

I quite like Martinez.

At the risk of sounding funny - he managed 9 less points with Wigan than Dalglish did with Liverpool.

I'm a big fan of his. I just wish he could get Wigan playing the way they did in their closing games from the start of a season. They play some exciting football when they're on form!

So Rodgers has turned Liverpool down saying he's not ready for it, and it looks as if the Villa will get a decent Striker at long last....

Oh, hang on

Grant Holt puts in a transfer request (although it's rejected)

15 League goals - same Suarez & Carroll put together - what odds on a move to Liverpool for £45m ;)

The big game today...............

Normally - you have no choice. It's Rangers or Celtic and nobody outside the old firm really cares.

Sometimes - It's only one of the old firm and everybody likes the outsider.

This year there is no old firm so we have Hearts V Hibs

First all Edinburgh final in 100 years or so. Nobody wants to loose this one as god knows how long the bragging rights will last !

My brother in law is a big hearts fan so is going to the match. Good luck to hearts.

Who will you be supporting phil?

Hibs v Hearts

It's the first all-Edinburgh final since 1896, Hibs last won the Scottish Cup in 1902, Hearts last won in 2006, Hearts are unbeaten in 10 Edinburgh derbies since May 2009. Based on that - If you pushed me into picking one or the other though I would probably want Hibs o win.

West Ham v Blackpool - again I hope Blackpool win but for no reason other than they're underdogs.

Bayern v Chelsea - Can't decide. I normally back the British teams and I certainly wanted Chelsea to beat Barcelona but the European Cup doesn't really belong in the South of England does it.

To say I have the heebie jeebies is an understatement at this moment. I've got four hours to wait in Vietnam which takes me to a 01.45. I've got my son in bed who I can clearly hear kicking his football about and is totally restless because of a Vienamese channel recapping on the road to the final. He has his alarm set. I've got beer, fags, and the other half sound asleep. And all I can do is post in here... Come on Chelsea!

Great 1st half.

Hearts 2:1 Hibs

Hearts dominated but Hibs had a good spell just before half time and got a goal back. Looks like a fantastic atmosphere too

I've got my Bratwurst ready ;)

Supporting west ham now as father in law number 2 is a west ham fan.

Will be supporting bayern tonight against my natural reaction to support the English team. Close friends supporting spurs so have alliance to them to get CL spot. Also because I can't stand abromovich and it makes me feel happy to see him lose. Also be good to see torres miserable.

If they do win though I'll be happy for Di mateo.

You should change your avatar! Nice:thumbs: I have a couple of suggestions if you'd like?

Soft penalty to put Heart's 3:1 up but it's 4:1 now and game over.

Hitler or maybe a bratwurst? :D[/QUOTE

None of those two to be honest. but the first one was close. wouldn'nt want to say what I thought, though, as I may end in the headmaster office again. But what I will say is of course the spuds are going to want us to loose. Makes sense. If it was Newcastle supporters, same same. I understand that. But really wanting the Germans to win?

I think you'll find it's quite standard tonight phil is supporting bayern as well. Well ish, by the sound of it. Getting the bratwurst ready

Not really bothered either way really, just going to enjoy as a neutral.

I wouldn't go as far as to say I'm supporting Bayern in fact I'll not even be watching it. I'm just not that bothered whether Chelsea win or loose.

That said the thought of Terry dancing around like a prat isn't one I like the thought of.

Well done WH!!! superb!!!!!!:thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

West ham back in the prem.

Good. That's 2 out of three results that have gone my way today, let's see if it's a hat trick.

yeah i suppose I'm not really that bothered either. Happy to watch and enjoy. But if I had to pick I'd pick bayern so that spurs get the chance of CL and the chelski uniteds owner is unhappy.

Well done Hearts. I was hoping for a Hibs win but Hearts were deserving 5:1 winners.

My feeling is you've gone for chelsea:D

Well done to Hearts too. Was that a straight win or pens?

I'm hoping Chelsea can stuff the sausage chompers!

Come on Eng-er land :D

This is the 'quote' I meant. soz about that.

A straight 5:1 win in 90mins

The penalty to go 3:1 up at the start of the second half shouldn't have been a pen and it put Hibs down to 10 men but Hearts were by far the better team.

Hoping Chelsea can deliver a win later.

8 of the last 9 CL finals have been won by the first team to score so that first goal will be crucial!

You and me both. Tough ask. But Chelsea have gone against real odds in this competition that I wouldn't put it past them. On the flip side I've seen Bayern this season (on tv) and they look an outfit to be reckoned with. I expect the blues to shut up shop, trying the same tactics they've employed the last few rounds to hold them back and counter but I fear that Bayern are of similar nature which could open the game right up! The German league is so similar to the English league that it makes me more nervous than if we came up against the spainish teams or even the italians.

Thanks for letting me know. Will try and catch it on Youtube when someone uploads it. Always a mf when a penalty can change a game. Shame Hibs couldn't recover.
