Daily THE FINAL SHOT ! Kennysarmy's 365 (being 43!) : Day 365 : Celebration cakes.....365!

Hi Jeff, just had a look through from the start, a very good first month indeed. Like them all. The bridge, self portrait, Blackcap, wicked snowman! The pp and the single pigeon on the Jessops shot is great.

Liking both of those, the Jessops shot is very topical and nicely converted

Jessops and snow day are great, your pencil shot is very creative

I think that both of them since my last visit work really well  though the jessops one is a little sad, that said I think I've only brought one thing from them and that was because I had to :(

Nice use of DOF, were there two people or did you clone yourself?

The DOF does work quite well. Nice shot. I'd prefer the flying card in focus though.

Very good, Jeff and I am particularly impressed at you making your friends play a part in your 365 when the poor things thought they'd just come round for a game of cards! :D Great DOF and the card coming in is just great - really adds to it! :)

Great shot Jeff and love the sense of movement with the card :D

Excellent work Jeff love the bridge shot...

Sorry, missed a few days of this one - some great shots. I like the bridge one with the cards best I think.

Oh, I like the yoyo, did you use strobe flash to get this?

Oh, I like the yoyo, did you use strobe flash to get this?

Yes.

Setup was dining room table stood on its end! covered in a black cloth.
Daughter was about 2 feet in front, with me to the side with flash snooted to prevent light spill on to the background. Camera tripod mounted and fired using a cable release which I was able to hold from my position.
The only hard part was getting daughter to turn off the dining room lights and then find her way in the dark back to the correct spot from which to drop the yoyo!!!
Took around 10 takes to get this one as we experimented on flash position and strobe numbers etc.

Ahh, child labour - I am liking this :) Also love how innovative we can get making backgrounds etc  So did you make your snoot from a tub of pringles too?

That yo-yo shot is brilliant!

My word for the day for you (and your daughter) is TORCH!! :D

I like how you've capture movement with the yo-yo image.

Nice snow scene too!

Nice wintery scene - snow really does suit a mono conversion.

two great shots - love the yoyo one and how you did it :) and the snow one is lovely :)

Beautiful :D Love the processing on it

That works so well in mono and that set of icicles is amazing!
