There's nearly always a big puddle here betwixt Waterstones and the Leica Shop!
I did! They didn’t!You could pop into Waterstones and see if they've got a copy of The Decisive Moment...![]()

I know we have had a lot of rain lately, but whoever lives in or next to the building in the first shot must be panic stricken.Bought a new (to me) lens, a pre-loved XF50-140mm to expand my motorsport ambitions
Had one in the past, so its not a new concept to me, took it for a short test today. So I now have an ILC camera (X-T3) and more than one lens for it

Being serious and putting on my shipping enthusiast hat. That looks like a Thames/ London docks barge tug, of which few now remain.
Thanks for the reply David, being somewhat closer to what used to be the old London docks that was the first thing I thought of, but as you will know the Weaver navigation had similar vessels in use.Its the Jelsea Weaver Shipyard (Northwich), it is slowly being cleared as it has been sold for the building of 83 homes with a lesuire marina

Ive got an old Samyang 12mm F2 but dont think its that sharp.
My version is ok and has served me well, but I definitely notice its not that sharp, especially on my X-T5. I must have had it 10 years now though, since my X-T2 days. I heard there was quite a bit of variance in production quality between batches back then. Theres also a newer autofocus Samyang 12mm so this may also be better.Really? That's odd. It's widely regarded as a fantastic lens for astro because it's so well corrected...
Anyone got the Sigma 10-18 F2.8? How does it compare to your Fuji 10-24? How do you change aperature on a lens without an aperature ring, do you have to manually assign a dial?
Anyone got the Sigma 10-18 F2.8? How does it compare to your Fuji 10-24? How do you change aperature on a lens without an aperature ring, do you have to manually assign a dial? Silly question, but all my lenses are native Fuji with an aperature ring.
I do a bit of astro photography, so thinking of swapping my 10-24 Mk1 for the sigma. Other option is the Sigma 12mm F1.4 prime. Ive got an old Samyang 12mm F2 but dont think its that sharp.
I was going to say the same thing - my Samyang 12mm is excellent, I pretty much only use it for astro.Really? That's odd. It's widely regarded as a fantastic lens for astro because it's so well corrected...
I've thought about getting the AF version, but reviews that I've read say that it's not as sharp over the whole frame. The other advantage that the manual version has over AF is that you can set it to infinity, mark it on the scale (mine focuses to infinity just before the scale ends) and then pretty much forget about it.My version is ok and has served me well, but I definitely notice its not that sharp, especially on my X-T5. I have used my LCE branch in Reading for quite a number of years and if a particular item has proved to be faulty for some reason, not connected to a faulty battery, misuse or accidental damage, there has never been any problem in replacing it or refunding a payment.Had my XF16-55 mk2 for a month and it’s been struck by what seems a not uncommon fault. In manual the aperture will only go to 3.2 when the setting should be 2.8. In far east at moment but hoping LCE will exchange for a new one given it’s age?
Good to hear. I’ve bought from them for last 10 years so should be OK. Just disappointed that it has occurred and isn’t a one offI have used my LCE branch in Reading for quite a number of years and if a particular item has proved to be faulty for some reason, not connected to a faulty battery, misuse or accidental damage, there has never been any problem in replacing it or refunding a payment.
