The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

Whilst deliberating, the ‘In Stock’ X100VIs in silver have now sold out

Solved

Black is for the person who has all their cameras in black, so the OH doesn’t notice.

As soon as I bought my silver XE1 it was noticed straight away.

I have had 5 black cameras over the last few years and the upgrades have gone unnoticed

Fortunately my wife doesn’t care/nag when it comes to my purchases.
It is only people on here that do that :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I enjoyed myself so much last week in Manchester that I went back for another look. I didn't get there until about 2, so by then the light was already starting to go and so I didn't get the kind of photos I was after, but quite pleased with these.

These were taken on the tram going back to the railway station as I like this kind of abstract but it can be a bit hit and miss.

Mine positively encourages my purchases because she doesn't like me when I'm grumpy. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
On that note, I have a confession to make. I was weak and pitiful and succumbed to the lure of weather sealing and a tilting screen. :$

What is the XPro3 equivalent to in X100 terms?
Never used any of the X100 series but found this:
Which is Equivalent?
The X100V (and its successor, the X100VI) is the closest equivalent in terms of experience and core tech, but the X-Pro3 is the interchangeable-lens, more robust, pro-oriented version of that same concept, making it a more versatile tool for different focal lengths.

This only shows up as a link for me, rather than an embedded picture.

Is this by choice, or have the instructions I gave you in the Glass thread not worked for you?
Just me being a dumbass :ROFLMAO:

To add to what @gramps said, the sensor and CPU on the Xpro 3 is X-trans 4, which makes it the same as the X100V (the X100VI uses X-trans 5 sensor/CPU, so in that respect, the quote is wrong)
And of course the VI is 40mp whereas the X-Pro3 is 26mp

Many thanks Peter, much appreciated. (y)

Well I’ve just gone and purchased my first Fujifilm camera.
X-e5 in silver with 23mm kit lens.
Any recommendations as to where to look for tips on setting it up, etc appreciated.
Previous cameras were Pentax dslr and current Sony A7c (which I need to move on).

Thanks in advance
Mand

Pal2Tech on Youtube tends to be 'the' guy for Fuji setups. Bear in mind that if you can't find one specifically for the X-E5, any other video for a Fuji 5-series camera will apply; they all have the same menus/sensors with very little specifics between the models. The closest will be the X-T50.

Hi all, first time post on this thread - my main camera is a GFX series but I also have an x-t3 with the 18-55 kit lens for occasions that the larger set up isn’t suitable for.

I’m looking to get a lens for sport shooting (local football and rugby mainly) but also the occasional trip to the Mach Loop for aviation photography.

At the moment I’m stuck between the 50-140 and the 100-400, clearly it’s a choice over focal length vs aperture but I’d welcome any thoughts regarding whether the 50-140 would be long enough - if it is it would be a clear front runner.

50-140 is my go to for sports photography, but I think it would be too short for aviation. I'm looking to add either a 100-400 or 150-600.

Thanks, having a look around the site plus on google it seems the perfect focal length for the Mach Loop is around 300mm on FF. given this, the 50-140 plus 1.4 TC might be a nice combination!
