Any recommendations for a small, pocketable camera? Fuji or otherwise? Leaning towards the Ricoh GR4 but not sure if I'm missing anything. My XH2 is sometimes a bit big to take.
That seems worrying to happen so often. Hopefully just one faulty unit.Ricoh GR is THE pocketable camera but there are reports of the GR4 freezing and having issues with the lens not retracting when switched off.
The smaller sensor and age puts me off the RX100 VII. But perhaps I need to take a closer look. Thanks.Depends on priorities. The Sony rx100 is tough to beat for flexibility. If you don't mind a fixed focal length then the Ricoh will give you the larger sensor.
There have been a few reports - hopefully resolved before they bring out the monochrome version early next year. That seems worrying to happen so often. Hopefully just one faulty unit.
Yes it is a beast, I own two of them because from the first time I tried one when it was introduced it fitted my hands perfectly. I couldn't afford it at that price, but when that began to fall off a cliff with the rumours of an X-T3 I bought one. Later on I bought a second near mint one in case the first one failed and I had both serviced by Fujifilm. My X-H1 arrived this morning, I knew it was going to be big and heavy compared to my X-T20 but I didn't appreciate just how much bigger it would be until I had it in my hand, it's like going back to a DSLR, feels as if it's built like a tank, it's a beast!
Looking forward to putting it through it's paces though.
Cheers PaulI particularly like that last one.![]()

If and when I see a deal on the 23mm f/2.8, I will likely snap one up as my walkabout lens for my X-S10.
In the meantime, I am thinking about getting a cheap zoom, as I bought the body second hand without a kit lens. I currently have a Viltrox 15mm f/1.7 and a Sigma 30mm f/1.4
Which zoom would you all recommend on a budget? I don't really need a telephoto at this point, compactness is preferable. The Fujifilm XC 15-45mm PZ and the XC 16-50mm F/3.5-5.6 OIS II can be purchased used pretty cheaply. Are there others I should consider?
Honestly the 18-55mm can be had pretty cheap and is probably slightly better than both of those.
The PZ doesn't get a lot of love and having briefly had the 16-50, I can say it's pretty poor optically unless you stop it right down to f8, and even then it's just OK.
I had no complaints about the 18-55, other than the lack of weather sealing which I guess isn't an issue for you.
Another vote for the 18-55mm, it's a great little lensIf and when I see a deal on the 23mm f/2.8, I will likely snap one up as my walkabout lens for my X-S10.

The 18-55 f2.8 is an absolute gem, calling it a kit lens doesn't do it justice.
I've been tempted by the XC 15-45 for it's range and size, I know a lot of people are put off by being a power zoom...

Hope you're on the mend soon, George!Virtually all my (street) Fuji-X pic's over the past year have been snapped with my X-H1 and the 18-55mm lens. It's an absolute cracker of a little lens, at least my copy is.

I hope it's nothing too serious, mate. Play by the rules as I remember you customizing after you broke your leg![]()

My 100-400 came from Derby, and if it wasn’t for the fact that the box was unsealed I’d have thought it was factory fresh, I was super impressed. LCE’s prices in general seem to be consistently good too.I have found that LCE Derby and Leamington Spa have the most accurate details for the 2nd hand lenses. Ordered from both, can’t fault them.
