The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

Is this on the import profile, if so then yes, I have set mine up so with different cameras, it uses different preset profiles (and with the Fuji one's I alter the default sharpness - downwards!)
I assume it's the import. In acr (don't use LR), I created a new one, and in the settings gear thing. Set it up as default for the T5. So supposedly anything I now open with the T5 marker will go straight to pro neg std.

Hmm. Well I don't have a post-processing routine; the whole reason I chose Fuji was to avoid that. Any in-camera suggestions I can make? I sent my X-T20 off to MPB last week; maybe I should've have haha.

I am enjoying the crop on the 40mp sensor though; that is very convenient!

Well I'm not the best person to advise, as I don't do anything in camera, other than change film simulations between mono/colour just to get a feel, in fact both my X-T3s are set in Natural Live View at the moment :)

All I can suggest is making sure you are using all the dynamic range (decent looking histogram), and having a play with Dynamic Range settings.

In LR you can set up an Import Preset for the RAW Imports, and then specify which is used for which camera - My Fuji Import Default sets Provia and reduces sharpening

Yeah, that seems about the same thing. Just a different layout in acr.

I've always changed from Adobe colour. For all my cameras :ROFLMAO:
I generally always have messed about with the colour. But now at least I'll have a constant starting point (with my one camera) ;)

I usually only have one camera for each lens I take out............................. :ROFLMAO: just select the lenses beforehand!!!

This weekend coming:-

Donington Historic Festival
X-T3 + XF100-400
X-T3 + XF35mm F1.4
Leica Q3
Fuji GM670 c/w 100mm

Makes sense to me :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

After much umming an erring, I’ve sent my x-t20 off to MPB.

I was really tempted to sell everything and go back to m43 with an O-M5 but once I’d sold all my Fuji stuff, I’d only be able to buy 2 lenses.

I then started looking at the X-S20 before ( hopefully ) deciding that as I don’t do video, the X-S10 would probably be good enough. Found a good deal yesterday so the cost to change is minimal..

Next I deed to decide whether I should get a Fuji 35mm f1.4 instead of my Viltrox 33 f1.4 which is quite a lump by comparison. Or do I just get the f2 version…

The Fuji 35mm F1.4 has quite special rendering, it’s not the sharpest of most well corrected lens though, and is relatively slow to autofocus (faster in later bodies though)

The 35mm F2 is more compact, has WR, but is more clinical in rendering

Two very different animals!

The 33 f1.4 is just outstanding....

:ROFLMAO: damn, that's a lot of luggage. Will you be strapping them all around you ;)

Backpack, but that lot weighs less than the Fuji GX680 on its own with a lens - its nothing to @Topsy on one of his GFX days :ROFLMAO:
I was out on Dartmoor yesterday shooting for a long term project, with me I had;

GFX 50S with 32-64
GFX 50S with 20-35
Bronica SQ-B with, 40mm, 65mm, 80mm & 150mm
Sekonic L785-D lightmeter & a s of Lee Filters
Gitzo GT3543XLS Tripod
All in (or on) an F-Stop Tilopa

PLus a Leica D-Lux7 in my pocket for snapshots along the way.

To be fair though I only went 3 miles.

With the Sony kit, I'll sometimes go out with the A7Riii & 35GM and the A7 & FE85 - but only if I know I'll be using both focal lengths a lot or I'm somewhere I don't want to be swapping lenses.

I don't have such Fuji issues :)

I have more Fuji bodies than I have Sony bodies!

I’m sure this has been covered but is there a non OEM equivalent of the BC-W126s battery charger ? The new camera arrived today ( it mint ) and is charged in-camera by USB which I’m not overly keen on…

JJC do a twin slot unit with USB lead for any wall charger.

I managed to pick up a genuine Fuji mains one from eBay for about £20 a little while ago

Ah, I am trying to get only USB-C devices, both ends. I am very close lol. I think it's just my iPhone left.

It just needs an extension cable then if you need longer.

Has anyone had experience of Viltrox out of warranty repair costs ?
Trying to work out if it is worth sending my 33/1.4 in for repair, it’s stopped auto focusing.
Tried a software update and cleaned the contacts, but to no avail. Same happening of both my cameras
