The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

Long time lurker, first time poster (at least in a long time). My X100S has been my long term companion: bought it off here 10 years ago, and took tens of thousands of photos: it moved with me to the US, walked the streets of NYC as I waited for my work permit, traveled to more countries than I can list including trips that are no longer possible (Trans-Siberian and parts of the Middle East). However since having kids I just found the autofocus lacking for fast moving kids and sadly relegated to the shelf to less enjoyable Sonys.

That Fuji niggle never went away and with some money burning a hole in my PayPal and an in-stock open box camera popping up I jumped on this X100VI. First impressions are that it's a lot heavier but with a huge amount more options and functionality. However autofocus is radically better than the X100S and there's nothing like the X100 experience:

Quick question: is there any way to set the default AF setting for AF-S vs AF-C? Want AF-S to default to single point and AF-C to wide/tracking. Thanks!

Welcome, I believe that you can do what you are asking.

Bradford on A(erochrome)von again.......

I only live 20 minutes from Bradford Upon Avon, but I've never visited it with the camera, maybe later this year. I do think it's incredibly busy for a small market town, and we pass through it at least once a month on our way to Bristol.

There is a small group of boats along the shingle at Worthing that deserves a longer visit:

We've never paid a visit there before either :) We sometimes go that way from Bristol to Melksham to see one of the daughters. Not as pretty as I was hoping, but certainly some history there!

That A46 from the M4 to Bath can be a lot of fun when the traffic is light. We run along there, into Bradford, & down the back roads towards Frome and via Maiden Bradley to home (near Stourhead). Great run when it's quiet, bloody horrible in the dark!!

Just change the brush opacity. I'm guessing you blurred a duplicate layer & then masked around the cars? Or was it an AI thing?
I used the blur tool in LR mate, I’ve not used photoshop that much and I’m not that familiar with it

Any recommendations for quality M42-FX adaptors please . . . ?

Cheers.

I got one from Ebay, it's all metal and I've not had any problems with it. There are little grubscrews so that you can align the lens properly once it's screwed in, too.

Just had a look on there and this one looks like mine:

I’d send it back, Fuji took two goes at repairing my X-T2, never queried the ‘new fault’ - just sorted it and returned within a few days
Just had an update from Fuji.
They’ve replaced the rollers in the lens today and it’s now on its way to couriers - should have it in a couple days, hopefully all properly fixed this time.

Update:
Received today. All looks (and feels) fine.
