Garlic Prosciutto & Hot Honey Baked Camenbert Bread Bowl
You`ll need...
- 1 round of Baking Camenbert
- 1 loaf of round bread (£2 sainsburys)
- 1 big clove of garlic, finely chopped
- 4 slices of prosciutto, chopped
- 2 table spoons of honey
- 1 sprinkle of chili flakes (to taste)
- 1 sprinkle of basil
Directions...
1. Preheat your oven to 180c
2. Cut the top off the loaf of bread and scoop out the inside, leaving about an inch of bread around the edges.
3. In a frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped garlic.
4. Stir in the chopped prosciutto and cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until slightly crispy.
5. Remove the skillet from heat and mix in the honey and chili flakes.
6. Place the Brie cheese in the hollowed bread bowl and pour the garlic and prosciutto mixture on top.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until the Camenbert is melted and bubbly.
8. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
9. Sprinkle chopped basil on top for garnish.

Sounds good, George. Let me know what you thinkMany thanks for that Paul, my wife is going to give it a go this very afternoon so looking forward to tasting a little later.
"She's doing it with sourdough bread as that's the stuff we use when having clam chowder"
Sounds good, George. Let me know what you think
Sourdough is fine.
Thank you, GeorgeThat's an "Excellent" still life style capture Paul, with a very nice contrasty mono presentation.

If you're worried about cheese puns it's okay; there are stiltons to go before it's too much. This thread is at risk of becoming a wee bit cheesy I fear...
Looks like my 18-135 will need to visit Fuji for a repair. It's gone horribly soft in one corner. It's also a bit tatty, (grips a bit lose etc.)
Are I right in thinking that Fuji repairs are a fixed price for each item.? Seems to be 135.00 for the lens in question. Will Fuji give the lens a full MOT while they have it or just fix the issues I tell them about?
That has been my experience with. the two X-H1's and four lenses I have sent to the UK service department for servicing and/or repair over the last year. You also get 12 months guarantee on any replacement parts and the work carried out. Another plus point is that they send you a suitable foam filled cardboard box and pay the postage both ways.My understanding is that its a fixed price repair, and your lens will come back as if it is a factory refurb lens (ie fully serviced) excepting any general wear and tear
Quite like the look of the X-T50 with a 23mm prime lens. Anyone got/had one?
Yup. I had several of mine done a while ago including the 18-135, all at fixed prices which include postage (they send you a box and label). One needed a new group of glass bits (I never knew) and another had fungus. Absolutely excellent service and a fast turnaround.Looks like my 18-135 will need to visit Fuji for a repair. This is helpful, but can’t afford a Leica lol.Alan, if thats the 23mm 2F2 or the old 23mm F1.4 lens, it will not be as sharp as your previous X100V, the newer 23mm F1.4 will be.
I quite like the X-T50 in the hand, but you are moving away froim something that 'could' fit in a large pocket.
And given the fact that you've not gelled enough with your previous Fuji's to keep them for a long time, maybe something from a different manufacturer might be an option worth considering.......

EDIT, looks like I'm a bit late to replying but another positive from me.
I have been given an olympus fit manual focus lens and need an adaptor so I can use it on my fuji body.
I don't want to spend a lot as I don't imagine I'll be using it a lot but any recommendations as to what to buy?
Amazon has a few - there is this one K&F Concept OM to FX Compatible para Lens Mount Adapter for Olympus Zuiko OM Mount Lens to Fujifilm Fuji X FX Mount Camera for Fuji XT2 XT20 XE3 XT1 X-T2 https://amzn.eu/d/jl7EVfT
Is there any reason to spend any more?
Does anyone have something they no longer want and want to sell it (via the proper channels obviously)
Thank you, I've just put up a wanted ad but if I hear nothing in the next few days I'll get one - it's good to get your personal experience!I have used several K&F adapters in the past with no issues.
