The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

I had notification earlier that my 50-140 is winging its way back to me having been repaired by Fuji UK. The accompanying notes say it’s had a lens group replaced and firmware updated. I must say I’m relieved because until I clicked what was going on I really was starting to wonder if I’d forgotten how to take an in focus image :ROFLMAO:

Another moody black and white image from the Highlands on the X-Pro1 & 35mm f2.

Sometimes I wonder why I spend so much money chasing gear.

The X-Pro1 rocks . . . !!

Wonderful photography . . . and processing.

With the dull boring days ahead. It seems like a lot of indoor stuff will be happening now. Hey ho ;) Oh and I got a nice little battery box for my spare, for a whole 96p :ROFLMAO: from ali express.

I came across these decaying poppies in the garden and thought they were begging to be photographed.

These are both great, absolutely love them.

And Paul, 96p? Dammit, I bought my battery boxes from Etsy and they were loads more than that!

I got out for a photo walk around Coventry's inner ring road, with a few other local photographers - there was even another Fuji shooter. These were my favourite shots - as you may be able to tell, I had my camera set to Acros simulation, and I mostly used the 35f1.4 on my X-H2S.

"Excellent" creative style capture Paul, liking this pic' very much.

Love these, Lewis - especially the first one :)
Thanks. I was very lucky with that I was trying to get silhouettes on the bridge when I spotted it coming. Usually I would have shot it landscape, but didn't have time to recompose.

Lol tell me about it. I just googled battery case for Fuji 235 and it came up. Perfect fit, and even three side clamps. Took about four days to arrive. Crazy eh ;)

I don't think this is unique to Fujifilm, but I have a question...

I've been in London all day doing a mix of street and cityscape photography, I've took 300+ photos, why has my X-T20 split the photos over 2 folders on the SD card?

As far as I'm aware, I didn't change any settings during the day but it's split the photos over two folders, one called 150_FUJI and the second 151_FUJI... The card was empty and formatted in camera before use, the battery did die during the day but the split looks like it happened long before that.

This isn't an uncommon occurrence and not an issue, it's just the first time I've thought about it and questioned why!

Unless you do a file reset it will always continue from where it last left off

I've wondered that before. I think it's when a new thousand is reached, but I still don't know why it does it.

My old Canons used to do that too, I expect that it will be because the file names are abc0000.raw to abc9999.raw, if they clicked back to 0000 in the same folder it could potentially cause clashes with duplicate file names.

Not everyones cuppa tea, but this went down well ;)

Camenbert Bowl by Paulie-W, on Flickr

Garlic Prosciutto & Hot Honey Baked Camenbert Bread Bowl

You`ll need...
- 1 round of Baking Camenbert
- 1 loaf of round bread (£2 sainsburys)
- 1 big clove of garlic, finely chopped
- 4 slices of prosciutto, chopped
- 2 table spoons of honey
- 1 sprinkle of chili flakes (to taste)
- 1 sprinkle of basil

Directions...
1. Preheat your oven to 180c
2. Cut the top off the loaf of bread and scoop out the inside, leaving about an inch of bread around the edges.
3. In a frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped garlic.
4. Stir in the chopped prosciutto and cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until slightly crispy.
5. Remove the skillet from heat and mix in the honey and chili flakes.
6. Place the Camembert round in the hollowed bread bowl and pour the garlic and prosciutto mixture on top.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until the Camenbert is melted and bubbly.
8. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
9. Sprinkle chopped basil on top for garnish.
