The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

A few from a grass track meeting today, mainly kids or teenagers.
Man, they've got guts and rich parents!
Boy, do I struggle with attaching pictures to posts......

The optical limits showed incredible sharpness numbers for the Viltrox 27, I won't post as it was the patron data which is premium and possibly pirating

Is that to use as funds, or as a permanent body for the 33 f1.2 ? :D
Steve. I really don’t know my own mind. It was the Viltrox 27 f1.2 that grabbed my attention.
More musings than intentions.

I'm waiting a couple of weeks for the discount codes to start working, but you are making it VERY difficult!

Edit: How you finding the size/weight?

Turns out the dicount codes everyone is giving out don't work on the UK store... So I now have one incoming!

Btw don't think I've seen it mentioned here but the new-ish XApp has been updated and doesn't require full location permission at all times on your phone anymore.

You have 3 of the best primes on the market (GM50mm F1.2, GM35mm F1.4 and Leica 28mm F1.7) and you are lusting after a third party lens for a postage stamp sized sensor :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: Look in that mirror Mr Bray - give yourself a good talking to, and quit these magpie tendencies :D

On the money..

It seems more stable too. Before the update it would crash every time on the first attempt to transfer some images to my phone. Second time it would work fine but this bug seems to be fixed now as well. It's still not amazing but it does at least work for transferring Jpegs. I just wish they would let us transfer Raw images as well. I know it would take ages, I'm fine with that. Just give people the choice.

Nice, that lens looks pretty tasty alright
Pretty impressed with it so far Keith. Very heavy vignetting at wide open but that sometimes suits the image if not it's a slider in post processing. The sharpness though is pretty insane :)

Oooh, there is a X-Pro2 popped up in my local LCE....I would have got this 6 months ago! Right now the X-T4 is calling my name. What's a good price for a used one of these? And is the AF notably worse than the X-T5?

My benchmark is the Sony A73.

A couple more from Heaven's Gate, which is part of the Longleat estate (but no lions! :D )

The ferns starting to turn stood out from the healthy ones.

These Birch trees were planted to replace some that were destroyed due to Ash Die Back. Haven't seen them for a couple of years and they've shot up....

Fab. I’m unlikely to ever get there myself. Terrific shots Ian. Thanks for sharing.

Some nice shots there. We loved Canada, of all the places we've visited in the world it's the one place I'd love to go back to. We were there about 6 years ago, took us ages to walk around Stanley Park, but it was a great spectacle, especially seeing Killer Whales swimming in the harbour bay.

We spent time on Vancouver Island too, the best bit of which was up at Campbell River. I hope you like Salmon, it's about all they eat out there

Not sure my entire camera kit would cover the cost of this trip. Prices look OK until taxes and near-compulsory gratuities are added. Daughter is on an exchange year at UBC so we delivered her, together with her entire wardrobe, make up collection, hair care products. Seemed excessive at the time but given the prices here it was a good decision.

Vancouver is a beautiful city though. And somebody more energetic than me would profit more from the mountains.
