Yeah....LCE one was a VERY good! the previous owner even had it in a half leather case which the camera came with. So I'd expect the camera to be in excellent condition, even if it came without strap, or the box.
 
Screen protector on. Just waiting for my MHB-XT5 to arrive tomorrow, and I will be complete :) All I need to do is go shoot something ;)

Hi Fuji lovers, I’m Fuji-curious and was wondering about the current lens selection. Which 21,35,85,200mm lenses would you say give the best image quality (not just sharpness)? Also, does anyone use Affinity photo to edit with an Ipad? Does it work well for Fuji?

I`m guessing you`re talking about FF equivalent lenses... All Fuji X are APSC

The 56 f1.2 Mkii is supposed to be very good. I have the apd version 1 and like that.
I had the 23 f1.4R, which I liked (but sold and traded for the 35 f1.4R (classic rendering, and very close focus).
The wider focal length, I will leave to others, but did for a while have the 14mm f2.8, which is great, and small. Traded that for a 16-55 one lens option.
200mm is a tricky one tbh. I have a 100-400 bazooka, which is big n heavy. But had an itch. The 70-300 is supposedly very good.

Between everyone here, I`m pretty sure you`ll get the answers you want (or don`t want ;))

I think @G.K.Jnr. uses Affinity, but not too sure what with.

Yes Paul, I do use "Affinity" both on my MacBook Pro & iPad Pro. I also use occasionally On1 2023 on my MacBook Pro. Most of my PP work these days is done on my iPad Pro, and any snaps of mine that have an "ip"at the end of the number means they have been PPd on my iPad Pro using Affinity.

I saw a side by side video of the old 56/1.2 to the new one, the biggest difference is corners and colours. The colours part can be easily edited out so that just leaves the corners performance.

I have the mk1, don't really use it so no need to upgrade.

For 200mm equivalent your only choices are the 100-400, which I have and really like, or the 50-140mm f/2.8 which is a FF equivalent range of 75-210mm. I've shot briefly with this lens in the past and it's really nice. Or if money is no object there's always the absolutely gorgeous 200mm f/2 lens

Think I will keep it but have thought as well about selling the LX100 II as don't use that, so looks like the X-T3 and kit bundle lens which is like new, plus the LX100 II in a Think Tank case all still like new.

Yeah, full base cover, with gap for battery. Also a nice arca swiss groove. I had one on my T2, and found it really good. So got one for the T5 :)
 
The three new cameras XT5, XH2 and XH2S all have uniques niches where they provide best performance.
XT5 v XH2 are essentially the same camera but with different control interfaces.
The different control interfaces have advantages and disadvantages depending on the working scenarios.



Difference/Difficulties/Issues
Since I have only had the XT5 for a short time and only really just got it customised to my liking. These customisations may change as I get more experienced with the camera which is similar but different to the XT3.
The XH2 has some new interesting opportunities afforded by the change in controls.

Autofocus choices have linkages which are both useful and unhelpful in different conditions and contexts.


Photometry is directly linked to the autofocus conditions so if you have Face and Eye Detection switched ON then the Photometry (Matrix/Spot/Centre Weighted/Average) is unavailable.

Subject Detection settings

AF Point Display ON/OFF is now a must see item as the AF is now so accurate so you need to know where the AF spot is located on your subject.



Select Custom Settings now has the option of Nothing Selected, as well as C1-C7 banks.

The more I use these cameras the more I understand their design choices but the Photometry changes (lack of availabity for change) seem to be the most significant as I guess this is all part of the AF and exposure control algorithm. I wonder how much improvement we can expect in firmware updates in the coming years.

Is also how things work on the XT-4.
I believe purely from observation that with face/eye detect on it switches to Centre Weighted.
In the 4’s case at least.

That’s interesting. I’d have expected it to be weighted towards the face. Can’t see the point of centre weighting if the face is elsewhere.

I think that the camera inteprets the scene, if it finds a face/eye it meters around the face/eye (similar to linking spot to AF position), if it doesn't find a face/eye it defaults to centre weighted.

Could be the case.
I only did a quick play at the time out of curiosity and I’d expected it to be Spot Metering but appeared to more closely match to Centre Weighted.
However that could have just been my specific scene at the time.
Haven’t looked at it since tbh.

I think centre weighted is the wrong terminology now. Basically the reason the Photometry settings are greyed out is because the metering is centred around the focus point to ensure the subject you are focused on is properly exposed. If you were able to use subject tracking and real centre weighted metering you'd get very dissapointing results.

Yes. That’s probably the better explanation.
I know when I did my quick test I didn’t move the focus point so yes realistically it was most likely metering for that point it just happened that to my eyes what is termed Centre Weighted most closely matched what was happening when Faec/Eye detect was switched on.
 
I never felt that the XT4 was significantly better than my XT3 so I never got one. I got the XS10 for it size and IBIS but I have it as my backup camera to the XT3.

With the purchase of the XT5, XH2 and XH2S I am now covered and am wondering what to do with my XT2, XT3, and XH1. I feel the XT2 can definitely go but I am reluctant to part with the XH1 and XT3 however I have enough new kit to cover their use case scenarios.

I think the XT3 will pair with the XT5 so I think the XT2 and XH1 are destined for release.

You'll never use all 6 at once!! Since you have 3 different sensors across 6 bodies (2 of each), it makes snese from a processing point of view to lose one of the sensor types, so I too would be getting rid of the X-T2 and X-H1
