Not an easy scene to stack, mate. But you`ve done pretty well.
I`ve only used stacking for macro stuff before. But will be needing to try some Mushy`s when they`re out here ;)

I haven't posted on Flickr for 13 months and not been on TP much but have now caught up with all my favourite threads and hoping to be around more. It's been great to see all the talk in here about Fuji's new bodies and I'm looking forward to seeing whether the X-T5 will tempt me away from my T3.

Here are a few images from the last year or so. I have enjoyed processing them and hope it will help to regain my elusive photographic mojo!

During the 2021 lockdown, walking in a local plantation, X-T3 and 18-55mm:

A few days after lockdown ended, my first photo trip out was to the local wildlife park. X-T3 and 100-400:

A few days later the photo club met for a walk and catch-up on the island's west coast. 18-55mm , 1.1 second exposure, 1600 ISO, leaning on a handrail on the bridge. A nice reminder of a welcome get-together:

I don't "do" birds but was fortunate to have the 100-400mm mounted when I saw this lovely Robin:

For a photo club project,"Juxtaposition", 16-55mm:

At the end of last year we added this little girl to our rescue animal family and this was the first time she sat still long enough for a portrait. 55-200mm:

A friend switched from Canon to Fuji and this is from our day out together to help her get used to the X-T3 controls. 80mm at f/5:

And finally, my first trip off the island was a day trip to Liverpool and I was able to pop into the Central Library. 10-24mm at 10mm:

Good to have you back :)

H2 with Tamron 17-70
No noise reduction ISO 12800
I may be eating words. My previous statement about noise being more pronounced than the H2S
I have others at slightly lower ISO that show more noise where there are shadows on the face
Just shows how the balance of light will affect the outcome.

Glad you're starting to feel it again. I'm sure we've all been there at some point. I didn't notice at the time but the other day I spotted a gap on my flickr timeline of over a year! I was still taking photos, enjoying the process, just nothing that really wowed me I guess.

Great shots here. Especially that first one.

Wow these are fab @Manxmaid - particularly like the 1st and last shots.

Thank you very much, Alan - those and the bee are probably mine too! :)

Some lovely images, Andrea (y)
Good to have you back :)

Thank you Paul, I've really enjoyed catching up with the various threads and seeing everyone's work :)

Thank you Jamie, I agree that it can come and go. I've never had a Flickr gap like this before and I regret not even trying to start a 52 this year, but hopefully inspiration will return. Glad you liked the first shot, it's a nice reminder of a peaceful afternoon.

Hey Andrea, welcome back !
The X-T5 rumours are making me consider the X-H2S, as I don't really want 40mp or the slight decrease in Eye A/F performance that is supposed to come with it. (Mind you, it would be stickier than the X-T3).

Hi Tim, thank you! I have been keeping an eye on the rumours and will be interested in side-by-side reviews. If they could just "soup up" the X-T3 a bit here and there while keeping the body size, style and layout it would be great for me, but I'm not too keen on some of the changes that came with the X-T4 and I don't need all the video features. Changing to a bigger X-H body would go against my reasons for switching to Fuji in the first place, but this generation of bodies will definitely be interesting to compare. I will need to hop on a boat/plane to have a proper look and feel! :)

I have a Pergear 25mm that got very good reviews. PM if interested
Anyone got a 7artisans 25mm they want to sell? I've got an ad in the wanted section but doubt many look in there, and being such a cheap lens I doubt many people bother to sell them on...

But, if anyone has one that isn't seeing much use....

I saw a Facebook post the other day comparing the same scene taken on an X-T3, Z7, and X-H2 and the noise levels in that showed the H2 in front with the Z7 and X-T3 lagging behind.

I got out for a walk in the woods with my boys yesterday:

Then today I went for a drive/photography trip in the Peak District, unfortunately for the time I was out of the car, the light was rubbish, then of course it improved when I had to head back home. All I got was a decent photo of the car.

Was this a test of the capabilities?

Can you not do the Fuji 48hr test drive??

Thanks for the reminder, David. I have used it once to try a lens, but because of the extra day getting it here and back again they had to allocate almost a week out of its circulation and I had to wait a few weeks for a suitable gap. They were excellent though; really helpful. I will bear that in mind.

I’m fortunate to have both. Not noticed any difference in eye af performance.

I am torn between upgrading my X-T2 to an X-T3 (or maybe even X-T5) and my 55-200 to the 50-140. I did the 48 hour trial and loved the lens.

Also I have just seen that WEX have got some 10% off Fuji codes, if anyone is planning a purchase in the next week.

That's interesting. I did read somewhere that the 40mp sensor was slightly slower to AF. But that's a reviewer and not real world.

I'd still prefer the smaller sensor though. An S version of the XT-5 would be great, but I don't expect to see one.

H2S with the 150-600
ISO 12800
I put it through pureRaw for noise reduction.
Had the camera lock up on me. Needed to remove the battery to restart it.
Super happy to get this the bird had appeared at my local pond. Just a walk across the road from my house.

Took the X-T4 and 18-55mm lens with me on a few days away in Saltburn-By-The-Sea last week and was so happy I did instead of relying on my phone for the photos. I'm really starting to love using this camera. I barely ever used my old Canon DSLRs for anything other than motorsport, but I want to take the Fuji out with me everywhere. Again massively impressed with the IQ from the little 18-55 kit lens.
