Hope this is the best place to post. Looks like I’m off to Iceland next month. Have an X-Pro3, 16-55 2.8 and 23 1.4. I reckon these will do a good job but at some stage I’m looking to get a 100-400 (for wildlife) and wonder if I should get it before I go, as not sure how much use it would get. I’ll be there a week and going along south coast and western peninsula. Thanks

If you're going to get it anyway, get it & take it with you by all means.

One caveat is that it's a big lens to cart around & if you're concerned about weight it might not be very practical.

wow I loved these old MK1 Escorts I owned a few through the 70s,80s & 90s and this model along with the MK1 Capri and MK1 Cortina are probably my favourite all time cars that I’ve owned in the past.

Tripod fell over, landed on L bracket, no damage to body bar a teeny scratch to lcd but 16-55mm mount snapped at the bosses the screws go into. Going off to Fiji ASAP.

This has happened to me TWICE ! Clumsy old fool that I’ve become my 56mm f1:1.2 dropped on concrete floor in studio and 50-230mm tripod blew over on a windy beach.
both sent to Fuji for repair and were fully serviced and back within a week :)(y) Fast faultless service from them both times:fuji:

They messaged me yesterday to say they'd received it, fingers crossed it won't be with them long. Looks an easy repair, as long as it's just the plastic ring that's bust and nothing else inside. FIngers crossed.

Great shot as usual, I am picking up a bike again next week after a couple of years away. Would love to have a trip around Scotland next year. We are in Edinburgh next month but not on the bike.

I didn't spot a lighting shop, though I would have gone in if I had. But my neighbour makes fancy light-fittings as a hobby and I'm spending a fortune with him instead. I'll look around next time I go.

The shop is Tom Dixon. The nice this, is that they don`t mind you taking pix in the shop, which makes a change.

Having looked at the 100-400, it’s a heavy old lump and am now looking at the 70-300. Anyone happy with it, read several reviews and it seems pretty good, the longer zoom being marginally better. Anyone used the teleconverter and is there any difference opinion quality between the x1.4 and the x2?

Back up the Shard as the weather was promising. The great sunset I was hoping for didn't materialise but I liked these:

1. Even the Gods prefer North London
