The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

Hi all, has anyone installed firmware V1.22 into an XT-4 yet? And not had any issues?

Very new to us - Van life.

We picked up this Iveco Daly camper van just a week ago, not long back from two nights away to test it out, simply fabulous for us and our two collie dogs.
A photo from; The Three Lochs Drive, Aberfoyle, The Trossachs.

This is exciting news, as it means very possibly that Tamron will design more lenses for the X system - ABOUT TIME!! you listening Sigma?? the more options the better.

Great news. I wonder if they can just switch the mount on some existing lenses. Like the 70-180 f2.8 on the Sony. It’s so lightweight.

Last week the farmer opposite my house cut the grass ready for wrapping. The Red Kites were hovering around searching for anything caught in the mowers, I wasn't quick enough to get the swoop down but luckily managed to track these three shots.

Brings a new meaning to feeding on the fly...at 40mph head down.

X-T4 and 100-400mm.

I was wondering same, they've probably always had the means to do it but were waiting go ahead from Fuji? but then Viltrox just went for it, maybe they found some loop hole?

A few from my last couple of outings.
A quick oppertunistc shot of this guy I spotted from the car up in North Yorkshire, then a couple of Peak District scenes, all early morning.
All taken with the XH1 and 55-200.

I have some (hopefully) very nice Barn Owl shots to come too.

Got an X-S10 on the way, went with the 15-45 kit and saved some money, got a 35mm on route too.

That's a positive "Result" in my book, congrats & "ENJOY".

Well I've been a bit daft. Went to Cambridge to visit friends last weekend and I've somehow lost my X100F. :(

Don't know how. Don't know if I've just put it down somewhere or whether it was pinched. Horrible feeling though. Insurance should hopefully sort out a replacement but it's the images etc that are on it that will be gone for good. What a plonker.

Sorry to hear it, Graham. Are your friends on Nextdoor? Perhaps they can put out a message there, or on Twitter, FB, etc, asking if anyone's found it. Or perhaps it was handed in to the police. You've probably thought of all these options, though.

That's not the type of news we like to hear Graham. :( Hope you get everything sorted soon with a happy outcome.

Cheers all. All avenues being explored inc facebook etc but thanks for suggestions. It's registered with Cambs police's chosen central database. Maybe it'll turn up, you never know.

It's really annoying though. I'm really careful with stuff like this to the point of sometimes being a bit obsessive so I don't know what has happened here. I'm half wondering if I left it on the roof of the car when packing or something equally daft. I also keep expecting to have a brainwave and realise where I put it but probably wishful thinking.

Also means that I will be X100-less for our holiday next week which is somewhat annoying but I still have my X-T4 so not a total loss.

"How He Once Was"

Just a simple candid street style Fujigraph taken at London UK that kinda just fell into place. I noticed the elderly gentleman walking towards me and then noticed the younger guy a short distance behind him and thought the two kinda linked together. I've deliberately shot the younger guy slightly out of focus to try and create a kinda echo of the elderly gentleman's former self.

...and you have certainly achieved your goal here perfectly...

It's a bit late but I forgot to mention immobilise.com. A database for all your equipment, especially if it has a serial number or distinguishing marks. I even have my cooker, fridge-freezer, and washing machine registered there. A central point where police can have access in case of loss, theft, or even house-breaking.

Cheers. I registered it yesterday.

If anyone is looking for a genuine Fuji X100 lens hood I have one for sale in the classifieds.

"Taking It Easy"

Just a simple candid street style Fujigraph taken at London UK of a guy taking a rest on a public bench. And yes I did ask him if it was in order for me to take his photo and thanked him financially.
