I hope that's a joke!
Hi, is there a way to tell if a Fuji camera/lens is UK stock or grey? Is there anything in the serial number that helps? Thanks
As standard I believe no luggage, an extra apparently. There's a slightly cheaper 850cc version by Triumph not long released at under 10k.Does it come with luggage?. I'm always on the lookout for a new bike. Adventure bikes are so tall but no one makes sports tourers anymore. I have a 2009 Triumph Sprint ST. The only alternative is the Honda VFR800 but the service intervals on that are rubbish, 4000 miles, which is just silly these days, I'd have to have a service before I went on a European tour (remember them?) and another one as soon as I came back. I don't want an adventure bike but I am running out of choices and this one looks nice.

The fabulous long in the tooth VFR800 has recently been dropped from their range due to Euro-5 emissions! Along with the Crosstourer and Crossrunner. The world's gone mad with emissions blooming laws...!
What about a V-Strom 650cc, a brilliant all-rounder....!

OcUK has never been the cheapest supplier. I find Scan (or Ebuyer) to be cheaper. The problem at the moment is supply, especially for GPUs, so there's a fair amount of price-gouging going on.Very nice, just been looking at components on Overclockers UK, whicg=h is where I used to frequent when I was into all this, wow... prices have gone up somewhat.. I think a GFX100S will be first![]()

Just been catching up with the thread and have seen mention of a rumoured X-H2. Seems to have been a rumour for a very long time, is it any closer to reality?
My X-H1 is still doing fine, slow to focus in some situations (like motorsports, which I've done so much of over the last year.. !) but I do wonder about an upgrade at some stage, purely for stills. Is the X-T4 a good way to go, assuming the X-H2 remains a rumour for another few years...?

Still just rumour, using the H1 myself but have no AF issues because anything I shoot usually moves slower than I do[bar our new kitten, but I've given up on action shots of cats, too unpredictable!] Would love to see a H2, though doubt I could afford one for a while yet, if the release price of the H1 is anything to go by. It is the only APSC release I would have real interest in though.
What improvements would you like to see? besides better AF? For me, higher res/new BL sensor, much better touch screen - [I might use tap tap to select focus point more often as it should be quicker], lose the Q button [or place it somewhere I don't have to switch it off!] improved ergos, though it's already pretty comfortable that can always be improved - , improved IBIS and other than that higher res LCD and improved evf would also be very nice.
new focus system
i'd like Fuji to really make it the flagship pro camera for x-mount. not an x-t4 in a pro body with an aging sensor. I'd really like to see them throw everything at it but also be realistic with the price.
it does feel like the x-h1 was quickly forgotten about by Fuji and the firmware updates it received were more bug fixes than upgrades.
better IBIS
FULL touch screen
new sensor
new focus system
similar body
bigger battery
20fps without a crop
4k 60p
It was brushed aside, but tbh, it's the only way I could get one! The massive price drop helped me do so and I'm glad I did go for it. I wouldn't trade it for an X-T4 [well, I would, but I'd sell the XT4, buy another H1 and a lens with the change] Much prefer the default grip and the shutter, the T4 doesn't really offer me anything extra as I don't shoot anything fast moving, I guess better face detect and it probably produces a slightly cleaner image at higher ISO - I stopped comparing things like that a while back though
I'd like all of the above too, not fussed about video, the odd time I do shoot I'm at 24p anyway
VFR is still on their website.
Looked at the V-Strom, I might take that for a test ride when COVID restrictions allow.

i pre ordered, paying full whack with the battery grip. i love the handling of it and the near silent shutter. the last wedding i shot with Fuji was with 2 gripped x-h's. the only let down was the tracking.
I found myself in a similar situation. The price drop is the reason I have one. Fuji may not have made a margin out of my X-H1 purchase directly - but it cemented me into the Fuji ecosystem and I have spent significantly more on lenses as a result.
I was surprised by how much I liked the X-H1. I was concerned that it would be too large - but it's a lovely bit of kit to hold and use.
That said - I'm not so bothered about the concept of the X-H2 - partly because I have no plans to upgrade my bodes - but also I suspect I would be happy with the X-T4 or any likely successor to it.
I remember when it first came out, I had just switched to M43 [mainly for IBIS] and was a bit miffed, because here Fuji had added IBIS [I liked adapting old lenses a lot at the time and IBIS makes those lenses that bit more useful], but it was well beyond my budget [wasn't it something close to 2K? body only] Once it dropped to what I deemed acceptable I sold my M43 gear to get a used, but like new one. Always preferred the 'Fuji look' to M43, but M43 is a much more budget friendly system by far. Or at least was, with the likes of Viltrox and apparently Sigma on the way, it is getting to be a bit friendlier.
Thanks for all the replies, and sorry for the rather generic reply - I'm just getting over covid (didn't see January at all, and still needing 18 hours sleep a day minimum) but I too would love to see a proper flagship X-H2. Aside from better AF and battery life, maybe a new sensor and no q button I'm easy to please, as long as price isn't too awful.
I'm afraid thats all from me now, time for bed again..
£1,899 with the grip and batteries![]()
Ouch! I never bothered with the grip, I thought I might eventually as I had grips on the XT1 and the G80, but I've not once felt the need on the H1. I get decent battery life, only ever need one spare in the bag. If I was shooting more regular I might get the grip but that won't be anytime very soon.
Hi. I've not got the X100V but I use SanDisk in all my cameras. The Ultra range should be fine for what you want.I haven't bought a new SD card for a long time and things have moved on and got a little more varied, if not a little confusing. I want to do a little video and I want to use RAW for my photographs as well. I want to use Sandisk cards but there are so many now; any recommendations as to a good type, size and speed for my new X100V?
Silverwing by APM Photography, on FlickrHi Fuji folk. (Mods. I hope this is allowed.)
If anyone has moved over from Nikon and still has some "Legacy" Nikon lenses with an aperture ring. I have a Kipon adapter up for gabs in classified which
will enable you to use them on your Fuji.![]()

The last Nikon fit lens I had was a Sigma 300 f2.8 . I've just sent it to MPB in exchange for a Fuji 100-400.Got one here, with no lens to stick on lol ... been eying up a few possibles though, what were you using on it? Bought mine for the Laowa 100mm macro and intended to add some cheap 'n cheerful vintage lenses to make use of it but never got round.
Agreed. I've found the Extreme Pro range produces much closer to its rated transfer speed than the Ultras. You have to be quite careful with Sandisk and their designations.
I would be inclined to go with their Extreme V30/A2/UHS3 rather than Ultra if using video.
