The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

Love this. The warm foreground against the cold background mountain is mint. Cracking pic.

I‘m wanting to get back to Snowdonia but I have to drive through lockdown areas (Llangollen) to get there. I think I’m allowed to drive through but I guess I’ll wait a while. The mountains will still be there when all this is over. Miss the place though.
Thanks for the kind words.
I think at the moment they're not stopping cars, but also I think its on the cards before long.
Right enough, the mountains will still be here when covid is over, lets hope we all are too.
Stay safe, everyone.

Jason, you could always go to South Snowdonia - Cader Idris etc, Travel out through Welshpool towards Dolgellau, plenty to see and photograph - not crossing any lockdown areas, you can venture north up to Cwmorthin, etc and then into 'main' Snowdonia but its a long way round!

Thought I would drop a line here. Switched to Fuji a couple of months back with an X-T3 and 10-24mm f/4. Added the 35mm and 50mm primes into the mix too.

Most of what is shot here: https://www.danielianphotography.com/recent-work was taken with the X. Really chuffed with the results I'm getting from it.

Flirted with the Fuji system a few years back with the XPro1, later upgrading to the T-10 and then moving away altogether into the world of FF DSLRS.

Cheers. Cadair Idris is on the list for this week if the weather improves. I’ve got close to the top twice only for the weather to put a stop to my fun both times. Torrential rain last summer meant no views and a lovely winters day last Xmas where it was so snowy and icy that I couldn’t stay on my feet. I might have a wander around Cad West as well as I used to see plenty of hikers there when I used to go to the Mach Loop. I agree, it’s a spectacular place and a lot quieter than Ogwen etc.

Spent a day wandering around Lake Vyrnwy this week just gone. I actually thought I might be drier in the lake rather than walking around it. To say it chucked it down would be an understatement. Still, the sun did pop out every so often.

That's why it was chosen for the reservoir, it gets an average of 72ins of rain a year, I used to live 15 miles south just outside Welshpool, in comparison that gets 38in of rain a year!

When I was there the other week they were queuing to get on the car parks and around the lake. I usually have it all to myself. Luckily lots of the mountain trails are unknown by the majority and they just race around the lake look at the dam then look at the waterfalls then speed off home.

The road was closed at the waterfall end too......................... and it was raining (y)

Very nice landscape style Fujigraph Jason, well composed with some very appealing light and a lovely rainbow.

George.

If anyone has a spare Lensmate thumb grip for the X100F I've got a wanted Ad HERE
I foolishly sold mine a couple of months back  :$

What is this X-S10 that is a coming?
Is it like an X-T30 with IBIS?
Im hoping for an X-e4 with IBIS and flip screen.

More like an xt200 looking at the controls ....

Here's a sunset shot from yesterday - not epic conditions but it came out OK (ish) in the end.

X-Pro2; XF16-55; ISO100; 50 second exposure (Lee big stopper and 0.6 reverse grad)

Looks more like a mini X-H1. Just like all other recent releases though, it'll be over priced for what it is. Like Nikon claiming the Z5 is cheap yet it's barely €100 less than a Z6 on most sites. This could be interesting when prices drop though

That is fugly ... and what`s with the Sony dial

From the front it looks like the H1, the top is a bit odd for a Fuji. I don't really see the point of it bar IBIS in a smaller body really - unless it's a new sensor?

think its just the regular trans 4

looking at the lack of tog dials I guess its aimed at vlogging...again , so more a big brother for the 200 ?

that's what the top dial layout resembles to me

did your xh1 come with a usb cable? mine is the grip kit box version.

I removed my grip yesterday and went to try and test charge camera with a usb cable but couldn't find one in the box. I've got a couple from my x100fs but just wondering if I've misplaced the cable from this kit.

No idea, David. I`ve got so many bloody cables floating about. I only remembered I had a battery charger for the H1, as i`ve been using my T2 charger lol

Looks like a no then. How tight is it not to put a usb cable in the box, must cost them 2c!

I know the feeling. Just seemed odd of me to misplace something.

I never charge in camera but I'm popping(sneaking) my xh1 into a bag and can charge it from my car if necessary. Can't even be bothered with a spare battery just thought I'd use the cable in an emergency.
