The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

Please NO PMs, but after getting the Sony RIV today I made up my mind, Fuji has been fatastic for/to me while I did all my singers/buskers/jazz shots, but times change. All the rest of my Fuji kit has now been cleaned so smoke free. As I have been out today, it will be going up for sale in the classified in a few days even the V and other bits, but only for a GREAT price so NO taking the P*** this time folks. All fantastic MINT condition, and as said NO PMs as if you do I wont sell to YOU.

PS: I`m waiting on MPB too.

But in trying to escape Fujifilm you made one fatal flaw, you bought an X100 series cameras, these are like boomerangs, they keep coming back, so we will see you in here again in the future!!!!

Enjoy the Sony kit.

I know it sounds like I'm a weirdo but I even hate plugging them in on the charger. I always turn away when I switch them on to protect my boyish good looks, seen 2 batteries explode and it's not pretty. Always charge knock offs on the concrete floor of the garage too, don't fancy burning the house down with all of my camera gear left inside!

I've just added up the cost of my 12 gen fuji batteries and 4 for the xt4, need to sit down  :$

Don't worry when I last did a filter audit I had 41 of them, and a lot of them expensive ones!!! Manged to shift a few to calm my heart rate and put some £££ back in the photography pot.

I did that today, only needed 2x 52mm and 1x 72mm, got every other bloody size in multiples of 3s or 4s. Time to clear out.

All my thoughts and attitude to my photography now have to change, I can`t see me doing any jazz indoors this year so I now have to change my total way of thinking in my photography. Do I really need two Sonys... NO but did I need so many Fuji`s too NO, yes I will miss the Fuji colours but it`s like Ned Kelly said... SUCH IS LIFE and now mine is about to change.

A change is also enjoyable. (y)

Well, soon to be "Sony Dave" ;) Enjoy your new venture into FF

If I can just ask you to post said items up during the day, so I don`t get tempted ;)

Just had an email from wex asking me to prove my id for an order I placed earlier. Wanted my d.o.b. and driving licence number.

Anyone else had this?

It will only be one or two first off, and if they don`t sell then I keep the rest so still might have a Fuji or two :D

Think it's a cock up at their end or paypals.

Just phoned and they thought it was my first ever order.............. then they checked my order history.

Just hope they never call and talk to my wife and discuss order history o_O

Sounds like a plan to me, mate :) Plus that way you wont have to lurk over here ;)

The V will be the last one to go up, so if none go then the V stays.

Personally I`d keep the V, and drop everything else. Don`t forget, if you`re out on your new bike (unless you sold that too), you`re gonna need small, light and easy :)

They also do this, the first time you get an order delivered to workplace ;)

Unfortunately my workplace is the same as my home address unless they fancy running alongside my van to deliver goods (if only) :D

It's bad enough pretending to have had new kit for months when she spots it, or having it delivered when she's out. Last thing I need is someone calling her, then telling my wife what I've bought!

So is mine, but when I know I'm going to be on site, I have been known to get stuff delivered to my customers site :D

Never had that happen, but I do know their site has a glitch at the moment as my stuff I had to order over the phone over the last few days but they do know about it though.

For those torrential downpours - just don't look at the price, or that of the housing for the GFX100

Don't know what the issue was Dave. It could've saved me a small fortune over the years if they blocked me!
It's not urgent kit but you know it is when you order new goodies

After having some technical problems with Capture One 20 today (drove me to absolute distraction!!!). I finally managed to get this image processed. It's taken under the canopy of a riverside willow, yesterday morning in the mist. I'm just starting to dabble in woodland type pgotography, but i'm fairly happy with this (any critique/hints/pointers most welcome?

X-Pro2; XF16-55 @ 16mm; f11; 1/15; ISO1250

The only crit I can give is, get it printed and big too as that is one hell of a great image mate.

Wow! Thanks Dave, really appreciate those kind words.

Well, I don't "do" internet banking so if I ever buy anything from the classies here, I have to get Mrs Nod to do the money side of things (unless times are more normal and the seller's willing to take a cheque!) Luckily, I'm almost immune to GAS these days, although an 80mm did arrive a few days ago!

Talking of which, does anyone use theirs with a TC and/or tubes? Not done any experimenting yet.
