That seems incredibly inexpensive compared to the wooden gripped L bracket.
You need to sell some camera gear and invest in a new laptop mate![]()

It's sod's law really, it would never have turned up if I hadn't bought the other kit.
btw, I love my V![]()
Yep, I did. Although not a lappy this time.
Mac Mini with 1TB SSD and 64GB RAM (I bought the RAM from Crucial and had it fitted. I'm not paying Apple £1000 for it. Saved over £600)
I already had a monitor and keyboard etc.
Using it now, have just edited a Raw from X-T4
This machine really flies.
Sold my Full Frame setup for it. Still not convinced i did the right thing.

I’ve preordered the Smallrig L plate.
That is a grip rather than an L bracket it has no facility for vertical shots.

used to build gaming pc's but hate them ever since moving to imac 2011, never tried a mac mini though and i'd love my x100v more than you if i had oneI love mine more
That’s the route I took @trevorbray with a mini - it used to be the cheapest way to get into MacOSX. Buying a new one is not much cheaper than a MacBook air now. Unfortunately I didn’t gel with the basics of the OS compared to Windows (although got some use out of iMovie) and also struggled trying to run MAC & Windows happily together in my house. So, I’m back with Windoze 10 and much more comfortable![]()

Yes it’s JPG only, but it’s not bad and certainly useable, I’ve set the button inside the EVF/OVF selector to be RAW, pressing this once takes me out of my usual RAW+JPG into JPG , then the focus ring switches the digital zoom focal lengths, after taking the shot the camera automatically goes back into RAW+JPG - so no chance of accidentally leaving it in JPG
Struggling to find how to change function of button in the lever to do this, any pointers please?
does press and hold work ?Menu > SETUP > BUTTON/DIAL SETTING > FUNCTION (Fn) SETTING > Fn2
does press and hold work ?
I have the small rig on my XT3, the wood looks great and is just enough extra grip without being bulky

im very impressed with the images coming out of my daughters XT100 and 15-45. i must stick the 35f2 on and check them
Very nice landscape style Fujigraph, particularly liking the sky in this shot and the mono presentation.
"Just out of interest Alan, I wonder just where this shot was taken?"

I noticed that this evening. yes the wire zoom thing isnt the most friendly but for static stuff not really an issue,i think if she didnt have one that I hopefully can borrow from time to time i would get one for myselfI thought about this lens just for casual out and about, or when people say "Take a picture of us" - family gatherings etc, trying to explain to them last time that all I had with me was a 60mm macro lens didn't compute - 'can't you zoom out?' ...I have heard that it is nice and sharp, just a bit fiddly to use. I'm not big on zooms in general but be nice to have one in the bag for those situations

Hi all, this is my first post on this thread as I am not (yet) a Fuji user, but I'm looking to switch to Fuji from my m4/3 gear. I'll be buying used, and trading in my current set up, plus adding as much cash I can muster via my birthday next month!!!
I'm mostly a landscape guy, with a little bit of wildlife thrown in, so need to cover the focal ranges.
My current thinking is a used X-T3 or X-T30 as budget allows. The main benefit of the X-T3 for me is the weather sealing. It's lenses where I'm a bit more confused (my current M43 set up being 12-40, 35-100(recently deceased!) and 75-300).
For wildlife I'd love the 100-400 but even at used prices that may have to wait. At the wider end what's good bang for the buck? The 18-55 seems to get rave reviews as a terrific kit lens, but then I've seen bad reviews also? Or how does the 18-135 stack up? as that would more or less cover what my combination of 12-40 and 35-100 does in the m4/3 world for landscapes. Or are they both just stepping stones and I'd immediately be wanting the higher end lenses?
Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Chris
