I don't even drive and my first thoughts were: where's the gear stick? and third peddle?? :D

I’ve been watching Tom Heaton messing around with macro on his Youtube channel. He’s got some cheapish extension tubes off Amazon because he is, like a lot of us, at a bit of a loss photographically. I might try some. Long delivery on non-essentials from Amazon at the minute though, (which is fair enough.)
ha ha, I watched his water tank one last night, they're great. I see there is another macro, will watch that later

A couple of peeps here use third party one (or raynox), but I have the mcex-16 fuji tube ..
Bit of info here etc https://www.fujifilm.com/news/n141120_03.html I got mine used for a decent price, and think it works well.
Thanks for this. I only want to play and not spend too much (justifying its necessity for my sanity and give me inspiration). Looking on Amazon the JJC one is the cheapest but has the better reviews - does anyone have these?

Donna, I have that set and they work perfectly (y)

Nice car Riz, but it has no soul...... I guess we'll all have to get used to them eventually.

I’m a petrol head and have been for a long time, I guess the Tesla so far a head that it never really had time to develop a soul lol.
EV’s are the future and I’m completely sold now....
The performance is pretty much unbeatable and it’s relatively cheap to buy, run and maintain compared to its German rivals.
I did nearly ho for a BMW M3 Competition but doing 100 miles a day, running costs became a big factor.
:)

Great to see the photos on here, and which is not only helping you keep focus, but helping me (and I am sure there will be others) that is on a little downer with no inspiration.

I am thinking maybe if I played about with macro a little, but don't want to spend too much - are extension tubes any good, and any recommendations?

The ones I use were £35 on Amazon, JJC, and they've been fine. There's no glass in tubes, the only (sort of) issue I have is that one of my lenses is a bit tight in the longer one (my 50-140) but it goes on, and to be honest, I generally use them with the 35, 60 & 90mm primes.

Have been buying so many things trying to help me handle this stupid virus, and none of it has worked at all. Buying cameras and games consoles to help but nothing as don`t know what`s happening with family at all as not heard from them for a while. So today I tried the X-H1 + XF 80mm f2.8 on my tripod to get my 52 theme done on Time and High Key.

I’ll be trying something similar on Sunday if I get a chance. I’m not really getting any time to come in here at the moment as I’m doing double shifts. Certainly not complaining as it’ll hopefully protect the jobs of our staff and help the recovery. We have totally changed our operation to comply with the rules, and we’ve not had any cases (confirmed or suspected) thus far. That said the number of cases in our area is extremely low. Fingers crossed it stays that way.
We are due a delivery of life saving equipment tomorrow so I hope that will help those unfortunate enough to be infected. My XP1 with a 10-24 is sat on my desk, but it’s just gathering dust.

We tend to stay in touch with close family via video calling (we use Lenovo Smart 8 displays with google duo video calling). Its become a daily thing, so even when we dont have much to say we know they are okay. Maybe something to think about, if you dont want to buy a device you can install Zoom, whatsapp, Skype etc across a multitude of devices. We find the smart display offers a lot of other useful features though and are voice operated so easy for none techy people to use.

If you need any help with this kind of thing please let me know and we can get you all connected (y)

Felt a bit glum editing this photo. This was from my last proper walk out, with the camera, to somewhere nice, high up and remote. Boris locked us all up very soon after. Maybe a sunset photo is apt. :(

Lovely shot Jason. I feel your pain, I went for a walk around the block last night and took a shot of a post box :ROFLMAO:

Do you have a key to your mam's house? I think in cases like this, where there is concern about an elderly person's safety, it is a good idea to call around and double check they are ok. You can call in and still maintain the recommended 2m distance

I think the car is too clean, it needs mud splashes and sweet wrappers littering the floor. People always go on about the story telling in a photo. If I posted a photo of my car, the whole story of my life would unfold before your eyes. It has mud splashes all over the bottom of it, and on the wheels, it also looks like I have been living in my car, as it is absolutely messy with sweet wrappers and all sorts of junk littering the interior. :)

I am only jealous, as your car is so much better than my old banger. ;)

On a lighter note. I decided to try green screening some troopers. Couldn`t find any green artboard, so made do with a tub from the gardem .... I`ve only done three at the moment, but looks promising I think.

The neighbour has a key and after knocking on the door she went in and Mum is not there at all, have phoned the hospitals here and police and nothing.

A close up (not macro) from the garden, a tulip stamen ...
