The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

Another X-H1? lol
I am tempted... spent £105 on a 126S battery and 126S charger, this money could have gone towards a refurbished Fuji X-H1 :o doh.

Plenty of second user 126S batteries about, I bought one boxed a couple of weeks ago for £26 from a dealer, MPB have quite a few.
I should have shopped around innit...

i know. you'll soon GAS all of that sony money the way you are going.
Nope, after today there is nothing else I need.... got my mind set on a iPhone 12 Pro when it comes out but that's about it. :)

Tempted by the H1 on the refurb store.. but I don’t need a grip! Hopefully body only will be available soon

Nick I sold the grip for £90 without batteries within 48 hours of getting it (not on here though), that way you get Body + 3 batteries (which you can obviously sell to @Riz_Guru for a quick profit or keep them :D:D)

I may just do that. (But I’ll keep the batteries!)

If I go down this route, that’s 10 batteries... but I do hire an additional body if I’m doing a wedding

For me it’s a no brainier to go for the X-H1 kit, for an £100 you’re getting the grip and 2 batteries, the batteries alone cost £90. I bought the kit, but rarely use the grip. I use it as a double battery charger mostly.

Anyone have the 16-80mm I’ve just bought one off the refurb store for an upcoming trip to Valencia. I bought one when it was first released, I didn’t think it was a £769 lens, so I returned it. To be honest I never give it a chance.
I do love my 16-80 and really pleased with the results, but then I do not have any prime lenses to compare it to. I recently also got the 55-200 but still go to the 16-80 most the time. I am going on a big holiday at the end of the year, and this will probably be the only lens I take.
The majority of my recent pictures (since I sold the Canon) are taken with this lens on my Instagram page

Sometimes though, despite the X100 series cameras being the best cameras made by man, you need to switch it up, still Monochrome SOOC, but X-H1 and Zeiss 32mm

There is a story to the STX-1N, It was the first Fujifilm camera that I bought, I used happily for many years until I left it on the roof of a TVR sportscar, I got into the car, and opened the sunroof (one of the old sliding fabric ones) forgetting that the camera was on top, it flew off the top, and hit the tarmac, bending the lens mount. A few years ago I came across this mint one (only be kept in a collection and never used) so I bought it, not used it as much as I thought, still has half a roll of film in it, which I must get round to finishing!

The refurb store can shove their gear, sideways! Saw the 90mm on there for 499 - thought, screw it, I've always wanted to try that lens and a refurb is usually like new plus warranty - can't buy from Ireland ... grrrr. It's a sign! I'm meant to switch .... or just never buy the 90mm :D

Might be selling mine soon, I'll know after I've been to the touch and try day on Wednesday, if I do I'll give you a heads up as I put it into the classifieds.

There's a few lenses I'm after besides, but if I can't make up my mind by then I would be interested if you were to sell around the same price.

I will let you know if I do anything crazy in the mean time though :D

I have the Samyang 12mm, Fuji 23mm F1.4 and 90mm FF2 all in the danger zone at the moment.............:), after Wednesday I'll know exactly what I'm doing, just feel there are too many options spinning around in my head, and I need to get some clarity, just praying they don't have a GFX50R+45mm on hand, and I have a funny turn and come home with a supersized X100 :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

This is actualy the most patient I've been in years when it comes to gear. Sold the 16mm 1.4, and have a bit saved on side in the 'gear fund' - just fancied a change. I always fancy trying the 35 1.4 again [don't suppose you've one of those laying idle?] and I know I want some form of macro set up for Spring. The 90mm is a possible there with tubes or a Raynox, but I also fancy that Laowa 65mm 2.8. Looks a stunner, MF only but I can deal with that. The 90 would certainly re-sell a lot quicker though ... so I'm bouncing it all through my head here too - no chance on a GFX anytime soon. It is a tiny fund :D

looking for a new camera from previously owning an A6000 and I was advised to have a look at the Fuji line up with one reason being for their vast line up of beautiful lenses. Ideally I want to spend under £600 and I don't mind buying 2nd hand.

Any ideas??

Is that £600 just for a camera, or a lens on top? If camera only then I'd go with an X-T2 and extra batteries [or the grip with batteries if you can find a good deal]

The X-H1 is falling in price too if you don't mind a chunkier body, they are jut above your budget used nowadays - pretty much an X-T2 on steroids with IBIS

What do people think of this lens? It's something I'm considering.

Its good, nice and sharp, quite a bit of distortion but thats to be expected from a 12mm lens. Manual focus only but with the Fuji focus peaking thats not a problem. The colour rendition is little different to the native Fujifilm glass, but nothing that can't be nudged in post processing. For my current shooting its just too wide!

I didn't own it for Fuji but did own one for M43, [where it behaves more like a 16mm for Fuji, but less distortion] used on a Panasonic G80. I thought it was decent, so long as you're good with manual focus - it's well built, feels nice and weighty for it's size [which is pretty neat and tidy] and from what I remember it was sharp enough wide open

This was also my first Fuji camera. I had a break from photography many years back, sold my beloved Canon A1. I then bought my first with the accompanying (large) mortgage. When eventually I got my head above water I treated myself to the STX-1N. I loved it. Wasn’t a patch on my A1 though.

My brother had AE-1's and A1's, and still does, he shoot regularly on them, and when one dies he buys another from ebay for buttons and continues. He keeps one with aseveral lenses in the back of his car permanently for that just in case shot, says they aren't really worth much so not worried about them being stolen! Develops his own stuff as well.

Can IBIS on the X-H1 introduce motion blur at high shutter speeds, like 1/2500? Do X-H1 shooters toggle IBIS off when shooting in bright situations when the shutter speed is quite high?
