Panamoz haven’t been very cheap lately, e-infinity prices are generally much better but I’m not convinced their warranty and ease of service is as good as Panamoz. E-infinity have the X100F for £699 vs £899 UK, if these figures are reflected in the X100V then £1099 is more palatable than £1299, but even £1099 is a lot of money for a fixed lens crop sensor, especially when you can pick up an X-T3 and 23mm f2 WR for that, and a X-T30 with 23mm f2 for considerably less.

You need to get your head around the point of an X100 series camera.............Anyway you won't like the edge and corner sharpness on an F at F2, so I don't know why you bothering to actually consider it........deep down, you know really that you'd be wanting to return it, and its much harder to return grey than UK........

Not sure what makes you say all that? I don’t concern myself with edge sharpness wide open.

With some things I am, however I’ve said many times before that I’m more concerned about the overall look and aesthetic quality rather than critical sharpness. Don’t forget I’m the guy that’s been happy with my Nikon 24-120mm f4 despite it receiving quite a bit of criticism, and lenses like the Olly 9-18mm which isn’t renowned for its edge sharpness.

For the record I do understand what cameras like the X100’s are about ;)

Edit: oh, the new lens is supposed to be a much better performer too :D

That’s right, the top and bottom plates of the new Fuji X100V are milled out from a block aluminium :) hopefully it ages nicely.
 
Latest renderings of the X-T4 on Fuji Rumours don’t show any major change in grip so I’m not expecting any major ergonomic changes. Hopefully it’s wrong and it will be deeper, similar to X-T3 with hand grip.

Didnt change it for 3 iterations so cant see them doing so for the 4th, unless they can use the real estate for IBIS

How are you finding the X-H1 in comparison to the T3? IBIS is obviously the big draw but how does it compare in other respects please?

I love the size of the H1 and at the moment I have my XF56mm on it, the IBIS is great but I still like to use the T3 as well. If I was starting again I`d have two H1s.
 
I've just started using the Zeiss 32mm f1.8 and although I'm not sure it's a focal length i will get on with it's razor sharp and a pleasure to use.

The Mitakon 35mm f0.95 looks good though. Also been looking at the 90mm f2, that looks pretty special although not a focal length I'd use.

@Dave70D i know you have an X-E3, how does the AF o that compare with the T3 or H1? I’m thinking of adding one of these with another 18-55 to stick in my car, but I wondered how the AF compares. I assume it will be better than the XP1 or XP2.

It`s at my Mums at the moment, but the X-E3 is very quick on AF with all my lenses that are in my signature it might not be as quick as the T3 but it`s not far behind. When I`m at Mums on Wednesday I will be swapping cameras and having the X-E3 here with the 50mm and 35mm.

Thanks Dave, I’m going to have a think and possibly add it to my collection. I have no interest in the X100V but I can get the X-E3 plus 18-55 for around half the price of that.

I use the X-E3 like a point & shoot only using the screen, as love using it like that plus imo it is actually a damn good little camera.
 
Just had a few days in a very dull and gloomy Anglesey. No light whatsoever for the three days we had there. Luckily we headed back home Saturday morning, just as the weather was kicking off. We drove back through the Ogwen Valley, which was a tad wet and windy to say the least.

Took a few photos but was just trying to make the most of a bad lot really. One from a quiet little beach on the west of the island...

Very nice landscape/seascape Fujigraph, well composed, nice punchy mono presentation, and for me just about the right amount of movement in the water.

Looking for recommendations for other software to try,at the moment i use LR6.
Just tried Luminar 4,so looking for something which i would buy up to about £100.
