Just a matter of when not if then DavidX100V
Although I was worried about the loss of D-Pad, I've just looked at the functions I have assigned:-
Drive - This is a fixed button and is relocated to another button next to view finder
Custom Setting - Film Simulation setting - I could loose this - as I mainly process the RAWs anyway.
AF mode - single/zone/wide - I could happily do this through Q menu - I'm normally in single point mode
Face/Eye Detection - Again I could happily do this through Q menu
So my initial reservations about losing the D-Pad, I think I can live with, especially considering the improvements:-
Tilt Screen
AF Performance
WR
Improved EVF
The only thing I don't know if they have done is implement the Store By Orientation AF point, which I use a lot on the X-T2/X-H1 and was missing on the X100F. It would absolutely seal the deal if its there, but again I could live without it.
Currently looking at how to re-jig my existing kit in order to place an order. My existing X100F won't be worth a lot, as its a bit bashed about, having been in two falls, and half buried in mud! It certainly has some battle scars (significant marks to baseplate and to exp comp dial), so I'm thinking of just hanging onto it, or leaving it with the WCL permanently attached.
Give it a few days and we might see if Fuji offer any trade in promotions............

Innova 125 by APM Photography, on FlickrMy other obsession -- motorcycles. This is the second 2-wheel machine to add into our garage......love them!
Picked up this 2005 model Honda Innova 125cc Scooter last month and only now getting round to having it ready for it's MOT. One owner from new and a total of 1250 miles on the clock since new, virtually a new machine, but hasn't been ridden since 2014, required tinkering.

Beautiful.
Saw this on Flickr personally I love it.
Loving the picture, X-T.. wing? I can even see X2T2 in there
I love seeing what people can do with Photoshop (I do not have the patience!)
Thanks George, I was fascinated by those bootsVery nice candid street style Fujigraph, nicely composed with a good mono presentation.
George.
X-Pro1 or X-E2? I'm keen to try a rangefinder-style camera with dials, which leads me to Fujifilm, and as I always buy used, I'm looking at these two cameras. Seems that about £200-250 gets either of these. (Whereas the X100S/T seem to retain their value for longer.)
The primary difference seems to be the hybrid viewfinder. Are there any issues for someone who has to wear +2 reading specs? I think I read that the X-Pro1 requires a screw-in diopter, but that's no deal-breaker for me.
Anyone had both and got any advice?
(Polite cough)
Anyone?
I may be wrong having not owned an X-pro1 but i though it had limited or no diopter adjustment?(Polite cough)
Anyone?
I have an XE2 and XT20, I prefer the handling of an SLR type, rangefinder viewfinder feels a bit odd to me being off to one side. Having said that I have a couple of prints hanging in my house taken with XE2 and I haven't printed anything from either film or digital for years but I really liked the image the XE2 created and I've only used it about 4 times, so print to use ratio is at present very high.
Id skip both and get an XT1.

Not a rangefinder-style and no optical viewfinder. There are reasons to want one, you know!![]()
XE2 doesnt have an optical viewfinder
I personally found the XP1 OVF a bit rubbish, depends on lens.
Has anyone got the genuine Fuji MHG-XT10 handgrip for the XT10/20/30 and can confirm the weight please? I've asked Fuji but they've come back saying it's 338g which sounds very high to me as it's nearly the same weight as the camera, and figures online range from around 70-90g.
Keeping my old original X100. Just sprung for Pro 3
I can weigh one a bit later on, its on my wifes camera which is downstairs as I'm upstairs with a broken ankle so bear with me (sounds of man with one leg falling down stairs......)
hop to it

“Cracking” Fujigraph, nice idea & well presented.
George.

That’s correct, and I think the OP alludes to this. Though the genuine Fuji correction lenses are scarce, Voigtlander ones fit and are just as good.I may be wrong having not owned an X-pro1 but i though it had limited or no diopter adjustment?
You are not wrong.I may be wrong having not owned an X-pro1 but i though it had limited or no diopter adjustment?
OK thanks for that much appreciated. I'd be surprised if the Fuji one weighs 4 times as much then.Toby, it’s actually the Meier grip that we have, copy of the Fuji one, it weighs 79g
