The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

Jonathan, those images are splendid, the capture of that lady and the processing is simply wonderful!!

Is that Astia film pre set or Classic Chrome?

Regards;
Peter

many thanks Peter. classic chrome preset and tweaked from there. have been using classic chrome less and less as found that what i ended up with once i was done with the edit would be very close to Provia.
in this instance i found classic chrome really close to what i was hoping for though.

@twist cheers (y)

Dribble.....

I know, I have a fund set up for the 8-16mm, the 200mm is pure porn but I don't need it. I do want the 16-80 when that comes along, so that's going to need another fund. I'm going to need to do a lot of overtime in the next 12 months!

One from last year with the 18-55. It didn't quite work for me until I thought of the square crop, but now I rather like its cool formality and slightly surreal feel...even if it is the traditional "stick a rock in the foreground" approach :)

Looks good - also works for me cropped just above the left most rock.

Cheers, Alan and interesting thought! I don't think I'd want to lose that much background, but there's one that works for me where I take off just enough top to lose all the sky and little of the bottom to balance it. Bit of a loss of resolution though! :-)

I know that no-one knows, but what do you guys think the XT-3 may have over the XT- 2 ?
I've not even used a Fuji camera so far but from a quick play in a store do like the physical controls, and the XT-2 over the XH-1 because of its added compensation dial..

But the XH1 also has a compensation dial which in my option is even better !
It's customisable and I have it set on the rear wheel dial that gives easy access with you thumb So you have continuous access to exposure control or it can be locked at the push of a button all done at eye level I hope it becomes a standard feature on future models.

out for a quick walk today to up to the Buachaille Etive Mòr and the River Coupall.There must have been a few visitors recently as you could see the tripod marks in the mud.Shot taken with XT2 and 10-24mm
