The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

Another from last week's family wedding in Dunblane, Scotland. This was a quick grab-shot as the main (Pro) photographer was standing close to me and she just about let me off with shooting this capture, I respected her wishes and shot no more etc...

As its Easter I thought I'd create something more or less for the occasion. "HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE" :D:D
Just a simple Fujigraph taken in my studio of a toy chick supposedly escaping from an egg. Shot taken using three studio flash heads each with a largish soft box fitted.

X-T2, 105mm Micro Nikkor (D) Lens, 1/250th @ F16, ISO-200, Multi Flash.

Even though I’ve defected to Oly I still read this thread regularly, some fantastic work here guys as usual. Missing the XT-2 but loving the size and weight of the E-M1 ii even with the 40-150. I think I will be back at some point as looking through my best results they were with the XT-2 and 16-55 & 90 ....... hmm

That’s what I found when I moved from Oly to Fuji. Looking back, I got some good shots with Olympus (best camera was E-M5 even though I also had M1), but my Fuji shots are more consistently better. IMO.

Final one from the Photography Show...

wOaow superb photo, that's a great combo body and lens wise, I love mine.

I'll keep saying this, the Fuji XF18-55mm "kit lens" is simply a real bargain and produces sublime photo's, I brought this lens with me to a recent family wedding along with three other Fuji XF lenses and it never left my X-T1 body the whole day.

Very versatile glass I find.

:)

Well after not being in a great place for 12 months and selling all my Fuji gear. Then getting back on my feet and getting sliwly back into photography I'm back with Fuji sort of. Ordered an XT20 and 18-55 from e global but the lens doesn't work, it comes on with switch camera on and off and I can hear a click sound on the lens when the lens turns on. I've ordered from e global in the past and no problems until now, when something goes wrong. You can't speak to anyone and they only reply to emails every few days and any returns have to be back to them in Hong Kong within 30 days of the despatch email. I Created a paypal dispute as they did not respond and now because I've done this I'm responsible for return postage to Hong Kong.

I'm treated this as a lesson learned but my question is the fuji UK repair. I've been online and it's showing a quote of £100 is this a fixed price does anyone know, no matter what's wrong with it?

Sorry for the epistle I'm in rant mode!!

Bummer. If you return it at your expense will you get a full refund?
If so surely it’ll be less than £100

I expect the Fuji quote is the final price.

Is there not a worldwide warranty on lenses ?

Repair prices quoted by Fuji UK usually are a fixed price no matter what the fault is. Depending on how much you saved by going to E-Global it might be worth biting the bullet and paying for it. It certainly sounds more serious than cleaning the contacts. I had a similar sounding problem with a 27mm some years back, but it was a UK-bought lens (Ffordes) and they replaced it immediately

Well they are cheap. I recently sold mine on eBay for slightly more on a £3 max selling fee deal.
As others say, you might have to bite the bullet and send to Fuji for repair.

I certainly wouldn't fancy returning it to Hong Kong - you can just imagine the faffing about when they deny having received it.

Really thinking about getting shot of my 90, 56 and 16. Totally stunning lenses but really think for my wedding stuff the 16-55 and 50-140 is the way ahead. Decisions decisions. Found myself changing lenses too often last time out.
Why not get a 2nd X body of some kind there are plenty of used available at excellent prices and pop the 16 or even the 56mm on it ? always handy to have a back up body :)

A couple from a day out at Brighton:

Lovely couple of images I visited Brighton late 2016 for the first time but sadly a lot of my shots were not as sharp as I would have like due to health reasons :(

Suddenly, MPB have got 35 X-T2s for sale - even more than the 26 X-T1s. I've never seen that many in stock before - why the mass exodus??

Maybe something like the rather nice X-E3 in the classifieds ;)

Everyone wants a Graphite X-Pro2.

If you're thinking of shifting on the 56 let me know, I quite fancy it for some street stuff.
No problem mate. I'm really unsure about selling any of them. If money was no object I'd keep them all. Haha the three I'm using are brilliant. Really unsure about this move.

I'm really attracted by this Rich but it would mean offloading my other fuji cams as it would almost fully suit my needs . If only the XC15-45 was a manual zoom - it would then be near perfect for me.

I've been strongly considering jumping ship to the XPro2, but after having had a fondle in Jessops the other day, I'm sticking XT - just didn't like the way the XPro2 handled, the grip felt very odd in my right hand and I can't imagine carrying it all day on the street like that. Used X-T2 beckons - anyone selling?

I am still thinking of giving the 15-45 a go, never used a power zoom so don't know what to expect.
Guessing from your comment that they are not too good?

Wanted an Arca compatible plate anyway, so this killed two birds with one stone
