Ignoring the price for a second, 2 things put me off the X-H1. Firstly it doesn't have quite the classic form factor that the XT's have. It sort of looks like a cross between a DSLR and a Fuji. Screen looks nice enough but what I like about Fuji normally, is that a top screen isn't really needed 90% of the time. And secondly, it's a fair bit bigger than an X-T2 which is starting to negate one of the nice benefits of Fuji vs DSLR's.
Love the idea of IBIS though. So although, it's highly unlikely I'd buy an X-H1, I'm looking forward to seeing how the IBIS performs in the hope it might make its way into the X-T3.
IBIS seems to get quite a mixed reaction but when I had an EM5mk2, I absolutely loved it. Yes, many lenses already have OIS, but not fast primes. Something like the 16mm 1.4 will probably be quite usable hand held in near darkness. I found that great for shooting in a city at night where a tripod can draw too much attention and be a pain.
Plus we have the possibility of this being used for pixel shift or star tracking etc. Looking forward to seeing the reviews....
A big selling point for mirrorless cameras is that they are smaller than a DSLR, so being about the same as a Canon 70D confirms my view?

It was before I changed it from Compact System camera to mirrorless.Ah, your view wasn't expressed properly.![]()
This is what I thought. Seems like a lot of what attracted people to Fuji was having the exposure information available on the dials and not having to use the menus much beyond initial setup, that and the small form factor which this now doesn't have.
To me it feels like it wants to be a DSLR. Without wanting to get too conspiracy theory-esque about it, but perhaps it's intentional to lure people away from the DSLR market, some people prefer the bigger form factor and things like the top screen I've heard people saying they couldn't live without...
The X-T2 is £1,434....is £1,699 that big a jump? (Course when you add on a £319 grip, that's another matter in terms of size and price!)lots of notes. crazy like an olympus em1 m2 has been reduced to £1,500
Am I right in thinking that ultimately there will be a separate lens range to go with IBIS? Supposedly present lenses, either with IS or not, do not give optimum performance with IBIS.
It could be a costly experience.
And will allegedly utilise the lens OIS first before engaging the IBIS. Sure I read they don't work together though so not sure how that switch from OIS to IBIS works apart from being bloody clever.there was a lot of talk that it wasn't possible to do ibis on the current glass. apparently thats not true. all native glass will work, with or without IS

as far as I'm aware no camera manufacturer has a crop sensor with more than 24mp?
Samsung did, they had 28mp I think?....

Is that with the grip I assume?3 fuji batteries included

OH dear Fuji, it`s a DSLR like size![]()
I love mirrorless camera but I really hate small cameras.they started small and have got bigger and bigger. probably feedback from people regarding ergonomics.
Smaller than I expected! Nice sense of scale![]()

I don't mind the X-H1 but as it is effectively an X-T2 in a bigger body, might as well wait for the X-H1.And that my friends is your X-H1 market in a nutshell
very nice imageI tried out an 11mm extension tube for the first time today with the X-T2 and 18-55mm. I know I should have used a tripod and lower ISO but I was quite pleased with the result and looking forward to using it again in better conditions

great street portrait sirJust a simple candid street style Fujigraph taken at Folkestone Kent UK of a guy with his Violin doing a bit of street playing. This is a shot I have re-visited with improved PP.
