The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

Great shots.

Did you notice much improvement in the 35mm AF once it was on the xt2 vs the xt10?
It was definitely more snappy to focus, particularly with the single shot / AF.

Continuous AF could have been faster but I put that down to it just being an older lens and/or more likely that I just haven't set up the AF as best as I could just yet.

A couple of the new Sculpture of Vulcan at YSP today.
I left the people in to show the scale

Great. I'm getting an xt20 soon so hoping to see some improvement.

It should be better, but I'd qualify my post by saying I've been using the boost grip too. Hope you enjoy the new camera [emoji106]

Don't get me wrong, I'm not expecting miracles given the 35 is one of the slowest focusing. But anything will help!

Yep, can't wait!

Just a simple street style Fujigraph taken at Canterbury Kent UK of some Smilies cushions on a street traders stall.

they look like they are designed for sitting on hard church pews.

Quick question what are people’s views on the 16-55 on an XT-10. Am tempted with the double cash back mostly take pictures of 1 year old this time of year in low light have the 35 f2, but would like to add a zoom to the line up.

The AF is quick but it's a heavy lens, so worth investing in a 3rd party grip. I personally found the IQ difference negligible so flogged the 16-55mm and kept the 18-55mm.

Has anyone else been having issues of late with the phone remote app? Recently it has taken several attempts at establishing a connection, and when closed the app has taken to leaving a permanent notification banner on my screen about bluetooth connection (which I'm not even using) that can't be cleared except by restarting the phone. This is on Android and my X-T1

Fuji 23mm 1.4 Just bought off the forum and its rendition is beautiful (in my eyes!) A quick low light shot. I had to reduce the file size to upload so hope it retains the clarity!

Have you tried resetting the app?

No, how do you do that? I have blocked all notifications, and now instead of a jammed notification I get an error saying the app has stopped, which is better but not right of course

If you open the app before selecting connect at the bottom left you can see cogs. Select them and reset and see if the helps.

Anyone with the 90mm? Keen to get your thoughts on your experiences and what kind of things you're shooting.

I'm looking for something with a little more range to keep up with my son when he goes running off. I can't stretch to the 50-140 but the 90mm or 55-200 are doable. The 55 offers more range, but I'd prefer the 90mm for portrait stuff.

Thoughts?

I have both the 55-200 and the 90mm though only had them a couple of weeks so take my thoughts with the pinch of salt they deserve.

When I was pondering what lenses to make up my kit, I was going to go for either the 50-140 or the 90mm paired with a 55-200 and ended up opting for the latter.

The 55-200 is a nice lens, nicely made and good IQ as well as useful OIS but I don't find the focussing fast enough. I'll stick with it for a little while and give it a proper chance but jury's out a bit at the moment.

The 90mm is gorgeous though. IQ and just the look of images is lovely. It's also really, really good in terms of AF speed. It sounds like it might suit you better.

Get one. Awesome lens. Fast to focus, sharp, focuses close too.

I've noticed a slight frustration with the X-T2 but maybe there is a work around?

If I'm shooting landscape, I generally use a 2s timer so I select that from the quick menu. But if the weather is bad or if I'm waiting for some light or a myriad of other reasons, I'll switch the camera off between shots and when it's next turned on, I'll forget to set the 2s timer. It's at most a minor inconvenience but I'm interested to hear of a way of getting the camera to remember my preference when it's switched back on.

No it resets always with power cycles, assign it to a function button for quicker access

Haha it was that shot that got me thinking about the 90 again! Please post more examples!

If one pops up for a fair price in the classifieds section, I very well may pull the trigger.

Brilliant, exactly the feedback I was looking for. Thanks
