The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

I was fairly happy with this shot until a few weeks ago, when I realised that I'd completely stuffed up the WB, in that the froth of the waves was a serious shade of blue.:eggface:

So here's the new version, which I think is actually better all around. The waves are still slightly blue, but I feel back within the bounds of reasonability! :D

Looks good to me. I like how the background and foreground are bathed in colourful light, leaving the middle ground silhouetted. Tbh in such vividly coloured light, white balance isn't as important as it usually is, I certainly didn't notice anything wrong - I think your brain subconsciously tells you those colours are to be taken with a pinch of salt. The important thing is the feel of the photo.

Cheers Jimmy! I think the previous WB worked from the point of view of giving it a cold, night-time atmosphere. But ever since I noticed how blue the waves looked, it's been bugging me! :)

Very nice Fujigraph Sir, great colours, well exposed, and good to see the verticals pretty near vertical.(y)

"Sorry I'm a tad late on parade, I thought I'd already commented on this one"

Nice set of Fujigraphs Sir, with #2 & #3 being my prefered images. Good to see you're progression & confidence building with your candid street style stuff.(y)

"I personally prefere doing street style photography more than the things I am contracted to do. Crazy I know but Hey!!! who cares"

Thank you George for the nice words, never thought I`d get in to street but am really liking it at the moment :)

Been meaning to have a go at Astro for a while and it seemed to rude not to on a clear night in the lakes. Not a sharp as I would like need some more prancing with focusing etc...

Fuji X-T2 and Samyang 12mm

I`d be over the moon if I`d taken this shot Graham, great shot.

It states on here that the maximum size for an image to upload is 1024 x 1024. I tried 1024 x 700 odd and it was too large, then 1000 x 700 or so and same again then 900 x 600 odd and still too big. Does anyone know what size of file i can upload on here?

IMO Flickr is better to use for uploading a photo, as the colours look far better than a straight upload from your PC.

Well that's stunning, great stuff!

A panorama / HDR stitch of Loch an Eilein Castle near Aviemore. The stunning sunrise I envisaged didn't materialise, however this isn't too bad considering the conditions that awaited me.

Lovely :) the only thing I would try here is to push the shadows and exp a teensy bit to make it 'pop' a little more. But very nice perspective

You know what, I think you're right. I was working so hard to being back some detail, any detail in the sky and avoid the hellishly awful autotoned HDR look that I didn't open it up quite as much as I could have (plus I'd had beer).

Will take another look today [emoji1] [emoji106]

Thanks both! I'm slow responding at the moment as I'm spending a few days in Pembrokeshire. Fingers crossed for workable landscape conditions of some kind.

Nice bit of astro Graham, keep up the good work! :-)

Slightly happier with it now I have to say. The light was so poor on the day, this has really pushed the limits of the image in LR and I'm not sure it's overstepped the mark slightly tbh. That said, it's certainly a marked improvement on the original.
