Sound advice, today I got by using the 16-55mm f2.8 for most of the shots with the 56mm f1.2 for the rest.A back up body is for more than just precaution. With 2 bodies you can switch between lenses in an instant so you never miss a shot. Say you have a 23mm on one, and a 56 on the other for Altar shots, to get the more intimate shots and then wider angle to include guests, in a moment. A used XT-1 would be ideal if you decide to do more

Brixham trawler race 2017 by barrysprout, on FlickrAny hardcore Nikon users converted to Fuji on here? I'm adding the X-T2 to my collection imminently (not selling off Nikon....yet!)
I've had 3 goes on the X-T-2 and struggle a little with the controls. I know most of this is muscle memory and changing systems does take some getting used to. I also understand I've only had brief flirtations with the Fuji so it's not like owning one and getting out there with it.
I'm just wondering what the adjustment period is like. Thanks
I owned Nikon for years. Owned there best F1.4 prime and F2.8 zoom lenses. My last Nikon was the D800. It took me a week to make a decision that Fuji was the way to go after trying the XT-1 away on holiday. Few years later and I m more than happy with my Fujis [emoji3]Any hardcore Nikon users converted to Fuji on here? I'm adding the X-T2 to my collection imminently (not selling off Nikon....yet!)

Still on the subject of 12mm versus 14mm sorryIs £509 a fair price for the 14mm/f2.8 refurbished direct from Fuji?
The reach of the X100 just wasn't enough yesterday so the X-T2 got to see daylight.
Couple of shots from the Brixham trawler race. jpegs from camera.

Crikey, Peter! Very sorry to hear this, but equally impressed by your positive outlook and determination just in this single post (heck, writing it alone was impressive).Hi all, just a we update as I haven't been visiting this awesome forum for the past week or so due to hospital hopping.
I'll keep it brief, what started off as a minor sore throat/swollen glands has now escalated into a very rare type of leukaemia I found out Wednesday past. My treatment starts on Tuesday for two full months (probably longer ?), going to be off work for a year or so, a long hard road ahead but with family and friends close by I'm keeping as strong as I can. I appreciate I'll have s*** days along with good ones, but I'm in good spirits and very strong minded.
Please keep talking awesome Fooji photo's my faithful photographic friends, I'll try log on and view updates as much as I can during this medical blip. Thinking of you all as you have greatly inspired me with my personal photography. I can't thank you all enough!
Prosper!
Best wishes;
