Anything. Even on static things, tree stumps for example. It goes from being in focus to out of focus in rapid succession, never locks onto anything.

I think the issue is that it 'looks' for movement so on a static subject it will hunt in and out.

Try it on a properly moving subject. I used it on my son going down a slide and granted it missed a good few but nailed others (probably 50/50). With practice I'm sure that'd rise too.

It's weird that way! It appears to hunt constantly but almost always nails the focus when you press the button.

Yep it does seem to hit focus ok. I've had cameras from all the major manufacturers and used them all in continuous focus, this us the first body I've had that does this. Was a bit worrying when I first saw it but at least I know now that it's doing what it's supposed to do. Thanks for the replies.

It is a bit annoying I must admit but now I know it not faulty I can live with it. I doubt It's something I'll use much on this camera I have my Nikon for that.

This is just how it works, when you take the shot it usually comes out fine. On the X-T2 it no longer does this so works in a more conventional manner. The X-T2 does get a lock a bit faster, but beyond that I don't really get any more keepers than I do with the X-T1.

A9 is out of my budget. For me, really the only thing the xt2 lacks is the hss options that Sony, canon, Nikon have.
What are u missing in the t2 that you think you will need he new pro body for?

Yeah, i properly won't add anymore because those are the focal length i will use. Will mainly use the 3 prime. Only got th 55-200 for optic quality, light and compact for traveling. No intention to get the 50-140 and 100-400 due to the weight and size. Thats the whole reason I sold all my Nikon Full Frame gear.

Well I've finally done the deed, my Canon & various lenses are off to MPB, so that leaves me with the X-Pro2 & lenses + X100F so I may order an X-T2 then that's it no more cameras!!!

What I notice after I sold all my nikon and lenses is that in my camera bag I got the Fuji XT1 plus Fuji 55-200 attached and the 18mm and 35mm in the bag. The weight of the bag is nothing compare to bring out the Nikon D3 plus 24-70 f2.8 and 85mm 1.4 out! I can probably take my Fuji 56m f1.2 and the bag will weight nothing.

Some say the Fuji 55-200 is pretty heavy but when you comparing that to a 24-70 f2.8, the whole Fuji kit is nothing. I really enjoy my fuji kit at the moment. Hate to say I like the fuji auto iso ...... because I can trust the system and I can focus on my shooting instead of messing around with settings.

It also looks like Fuji have consider and care about both Pro and consumer users.

Well the 50-230 arrived today. I can't believe how light it is... Stuck on the T1; I took a couple of pics in the kitchen, hand held and it works a treat.

my lad is going to enjoy using it I think...

Its a cracking lens for the price and image quality is up to the usual Fuji standard
Whats not to like a great bit of lightweight kit paired with the XC 16-50mm both OIS and a XM1 & XA2 in the bag its just great lightweight kit

I use a L Plate minus the grip and portrait side plate, so basically its just a plate with a dovetail the length of the camera

Good news! MPB just email me saying all my gear is checked and is fine, they will dispatch the Fuji 55-200 to me tomorrow and follow by the remaining 4 digit money to my bank. Time to look for the 56mm now. Not sure if I buy use or buy new. Brand new is £770, used is around £600 or Fuji refurbish (if in stock) is £550.

I got more for my D3 kit because I didn't know each spare En-EL4a battery gives me around £15-20 per battery. I got 4 spare and they give me decent money for them.

I would go with the non APD version TBH mine got lost by UK mail ! and Fuji gave me the APD version as a replacement for the one that went missing
One thing for sure I will never deal with UK Mail carriers not by choice anyway and I hope Fuji don't either.

It was really small set-up that I kind of miss.
It's not like the X-T1 is big, but with a 18 -55 on it, it's not a pocket set -up

Just pulled the trigger for the used 56mm f1.2 from Harrison camera for £600. It was listed as excellent condition with box, front/rear caps and lens hood. It comes with 12month warranty too along with 14 return if I'm not happy.

I just realise I still got 4x Yongnuo RF603N wireless trigger in my camera bag. They are left over from my Nikon kit. I don't have any flash for my Fuji at the moment, will add a Fuji EF-42 or something similar later. Do my yongnuo wireless trigger works on my fuji or do I need to buy a new set for my Fuji XT1?

Also I realise fuji got 2 different EF-X20 flash. Are they any good? I always feel the big flash gun will look stupid and heavy on the XT1.

I purchased the Meike MK320 its a cracking bit of kit for the price But i also use my Nikon SB26 In either A aperture mode or manual both on and off camera
