I can't comment on the 14mm Fuji but I do have a Samyang I bought here a couple of weeks ago for £200 (sorry).

It's brilliant I reckon. Not done any landscape stuff with it but this shot in Birmingham library tells me it's sharp enough.

I bought an XE1 the other week as an always with me camera but then found I could get what I paid against an XT2 as well as the £200 trade in bonus so .....

With the grip on offer at half price it seemed rude not to get one as well :)

All the track work is shutter priority and i always start at 1/320th for bikes then work back down if needed.
Pitlane portraits its aperture priority and f2.8 - f5.6 depending on distance and subject and must say the noise handling on the X-T2 is very good indeed in dark garages.

As for PP all shot in RAW and processed in Lightroom with a slight boost on clarity and vibrance and a fair bit of Shadow recovery.

Once i have one exposure the way i want it i just save it as a temporary preset to apply to the other images.

I agree about size and handling comfort,i prefer bigger than smaller

Yes i can appreciate that,i only shoot for short periods so it doesnt bother me plus im built like Arnold scwazanegger,well not really lol
 
I too hold the camera with the lens in my left hand, but generally prefer to hold small things. ;)

What strap do you use ? I have the Optech and find it really makes a difference, even with the 50-140 it's comfortable.

I have the Optech as well, I just prefer the smaller size nowadays. Reason why i got rid of all my canon gear.

Peak Design Slide Light on the T2 and an old but faithful Footprint on the Pro1.

Just took my Black rapid straps off my Canon gear to put on my XT-1 and XT-2. Didn't like the Optech ones at the time because I couldn't get plain shaped ones unlike the strange shaped that most of them are.
Not going to let them go with my kit as I hate the branded skinny cut your neck type.

I think if you do landscape, a really strong reason for the 10-24 is not wanting to change lenses in the field. Can't afford it though. Would almost double the net cost of my gear. Still working on what the cheaper alternative might be...

Indeed. The lens alone was more than my X-T10 and 18-55mm together, but I'm so glad I went for it.

I figured if I didn't like it I could sell it on at no loss having purchased when the double cash back was on. Having had it since December, it's going nowhere.

You'll be fine, the 50-140 is perfectly capable on the X-T1 and only gets better on the X-T2 :)

It's all about practice, knowing what shutter speeds your comfortable with (so you can go lower! :D) and accepting that you'll get quite a few that go straight in the bin! It's all great fun. Get some in the bag at a higher shutter speed, then go as low as you dare :)

I did use the 50-230 at one point, the AF was a bit pedestrian but it still worked in the main.

Yeah I like the slower shutter speeds, I don't mind a challenge but I don't like failure........i'm setting myself up for a world of pain me thinks

They're not failures, they're artistic... :D

It doesn't matter how good you get, you'll always be looking at the next lower shutter speed! Get some in the bag at 1/250, then 1/125, then all the rest is just having fun.

You people are bad for my bank account, I'm search for a 10-24 to order if I can find a used one.

That's what I did, I kept getting my fingers in shot with the Samyang. The Fuji is more colour consistent too - when mixing images in a group from different lenses, the samyang stands out for it's different rendering. I've now got the 10-24mm and adore it.
 
Went to the bar today and walked passed Park Cameras, went in to try the 10-24! I quite liked it but the only thing that I had a quibble with is that it looked massive on the XT10.

Looks pretty good on the X-T1 and 2 as well as the X-Pro1 - you need a bigger body!!! :P
