I've not been checking the used market but I sold my low mileage D700 for £595 which inc battery grip etc. That's why I got the XT1 and sold a few bits and bobs for the 35mm f2.

How much approx I potentially could get if I sell the following:

- Nikon D3 with 4 spare OEM battery
- Nikon 28-70 f2.8 AFS
- Nikon 70-200 f2.8 VR1 AFS
- Nikon 50mm f1.8 AFS
- Nikon 85mm f1.4 AFD
- Tamron 19-35mm f3.5-5.6
- Nikon SB910 flash gun
- Metz (Nikon fit) smaller flash (forgot which model)

I guess I could keep the flash for remote trigger use because I got a few remote triggers.

Most likely will buy all used if I gonna get more Fuji stuff lol.

It probably will my friend, apart from aircraft etc I'm sure there's not much else ( certainly in the sports world) that moves quite as fast as an F1 car.:)

I probably don't need the length of 100-400mm for my stuff consider I'm ok with a D3 + 70-200 f2.8. Fuji 50-140mm f2.8 will probably do the trick for me :)

You could always get the 1.4x Telecoverter in the future if you did find the 50-140mm f2.8 lacking in reach. Its a very sharp lens. :D

I have had various Fuji x trans cameras for about three years and have never personally seen this phenomenon.

Perhaps I haven't replicated the conditions that allegedly produce this effect, but tend to only believe that which I have observed.

Have you seen it?

Advice anyone? I'm looking to buy the Samyang 12mm to use with my XT1, I would of course prefer the 10-24 but alas can't afford it:( I have the 18-135XF. I've looked online and see of course the price variations. Wex £279 and other outlets such as eglobal and Venture Direct. £50 difference but I've never bought anything from these guys. Anyone used these? Should I buy from more trusted seller such as Wex?

EGlobal are fine but grey, I don't know venture, but if you find somewhere really cheap can you let me know, I've had a wanted advert up in the classifieds for a while now

How about the Fuji 14mm, see these at reasonable used prices, sure the Samyang is fine if you are happy with manual focus?
 
@architectfadi Noticed your classified for 35mm. Thinking of shooting the Grandchildren over Christmas. I note that some think it's slow to focus. Opinions...?

It slower to focus than the F2 so people says but it be plenty good enough for Portraits and it have that better bokah being 1.4
 
To be honest I was and probably still struggling to decide which to sell but just decided to put the 35mm F1.4 on sale. My experience is mainly portrait so not fast moving subjects. Having said that I have tracked my son on his bike a while ago with the XT1 and I had a 70% hit rate.

I have had both in the past, for your purposes I would go for the newer f2 version although being honest not greatly impressed with either.

Do have the faster model just in case I need it for something specific, but much prefer the 18-55 for most uses

Ooh don't encourage me to look at that. I told myself I would not be swayed to spend more...though it is tempting.

Yes have thought about this but again pricey. I still have time to look for a used one as its a Xmas pressie to me from OH.

In contrast, I think the 35 F2 is a fantastic lens and would recommend it highly.

If I didn't have the 16-55mm F2.8 and soon the 50-140mm F2.8 I would have kept the 35mm F1.4 and put the F2 on sale.
