The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

I really like the look of the 35 F2. I think I'll end up trading my 27mm for it at some point. The 27 is neat, a nice little stealth lens, but it's so in-between. I'd like something wider, like the 23 F2, and longer, like the 35 F2

I was recently given Adobe Photoshop on my laptop and I've never opened it yet as I feel LR5 covers all my needs. Don't want it to get too complicated processing wise.

Hey all, im off travelling in December, Currently have a 14mm and 18-55mm to go with my XT1.

I loved the 35mm 1.4 as a 1 lens 1 day combo, thinking of getting the 35mm WR as a replacement. Any thoughts from people that have both :)

I've used both and if buying again would probably pickup the 35 f2 its a great lens and the AF is much snappier than the old one, was a great lens on the X-Pro 2.

Hello everyone I've been reading everything here but not posted after what happened last time. Taking a interest in the xt 2 lol
You're as bad as Minnnt and Twist for changing cameras ;)

He would be if he didn't take an eternity to choose which one to buy. Be prepared to answer many, many questions, X-T2 owners!

Don't you worry am not going ask anything just reading. As not prepare to ask like last time

Matter is close just some rift causing a banned let leave this as is pls

Dozens and dozens of questions all asking the same thing. Got everybody's backs up and got at least two warnings from a mod. An absolute total nuisance.
I thought he was on my ignore list.
He is now.

Don't need to ignore me Am no longer asking questions I assure you...

If it was a close and you didnt want to talk about it, why mention it? Makes no sense.

Then why ask me the bloody questions twice when tried to ignore you.

Your on my ignore list now...

oh :( you'll never read my insightful posts or be able to see my selfies. But then you cant read this as im ignored now! Id feel hurt if your keyboard antics weren't like that of a pubescent child but meh.

There's always one

I have been messing with the little dinky flash, the EF-X8, and in commander mode it'll fire my Yongnuo 560 nicely off cam. If there was some way to exclude the EF-X8 from affecting exposure that would be sweet, a nice cheap trigger

Best you can do is turn flash exposure compensation as low as it will go, or better still use a business card or similar to block the flash in the direction of shot but still allowing the flash to reach the 560.

Or even better just buy a couple of yongnuo 603c's or if your 560 is mk3 or 4 get a Yongnuo 560TX

Yeah I have it down to -2 exp, I have yongnuo triggers ..... somewhere :/ Just can't find them, lost a few bits and bobs during a house move couple of months back. I plan on getting another speedlight, probably a 560 IV [my current one is the original, non digital 560]and the 560-TX, but just for now while I'm messing about. messing is fun ... :D

I can shoe mount the 560 for nice bounce flash, but, it looks ridiculous - the flash being twice the size of the body

I see the likes of Wex (and many others) have the XT2 for £1399 with 0% finance over 12months............hmmm strokes chin.
This is what I saw yesterday hence the reason I am back in here reading up more information.

But seems most of them don't have them in stock, any idea when the XT2's are gonna start being available from photographic dealerships anyone ?

Cheers.

Calumet had them in... But only with the kit lens

I didn't need to read this lol. Now only if they did it in sexy silver ;)

Ffordes have them, including one on reserve for me while I sort out sending them a part-ex :)

Park Cameras claimed to have the body in stock last night, so I ordered one. A follow-up call this morning told me that they were reserved, but they'd be getting more stock on the 11th November. I expressed how little this impressed me given that their website was still saying they were available! Oddly enough, they dispatched my body for delivery tomorrow. It may be worth calling them and seeing if you can get one of next week's delivery.

I believe the 'sexy-silver' XT2's won't be available til spring next year. Do Ffordes have them with 12months 0% interest me wonders Simon ?

Patience is a virtue Pete. Not like you haven't got a camera to use while you wait!

Jessops are also doing 12mths 0% I believe. They gave me the best trade value on my X-T1 so was happy to wait for stock. Obviously now that I've placed the order I'm not quite as happy with the wait :D

Good God... Finance means even a pauper like me could get one... Selling some gear now would set me for the first few months, then with that offset from the total it'd work out about £70-80 a month!
I'm not gonna do it cos it'd cripple me, but it's good that I ~could~ do it...

Rather than doing 12 months interest free from a store why not just get a credit card that does 24m interest free on purchases?

Problem is with the 24 month interest free credit cards is the temptation to just keep buying something else the moment you've paid some of.

By the end of a 24 month term it'll cost half what it does now

Yeah I was quoted about a 2 week wait in Jessops today. And a trade in of £372 for my X-T10 which is better than what Wex are offering.

See above, I'm using LR since v2, and still get lost at times :)

great street shots. Is the aperture the only info you lose in exif? Just curious, never had a nice wide lens
Thanks.

Yes I think it's just aperture you lose. The first one was shot at F16 hence the 4000 ISO and 1/60 shutter.

Think they may be just guessing with two weeks though. They had a delivery on Tuesday which covered some back orders but they don't have a date for the next batch.

I made a thing, lol:

Not pretty, but y'know, it bounces light pretty nicely, with a bit of tinkering about could actually make this little EF-X8 useful.

Just a tester. 2nd curtain sync, flash exp -1/3, the rest of the info is there on Flickr anyone interested. I'm sure it's been done before, I was just bored :)
