The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

Maybe we should make some rules first ? Nobody can have it more than 7 days ?

Looks life the Fuji refurb shop have put some of their prices up. I've been looking at the 16-55 and have had the opportunity to purchase one on 2 occasions but decided not to. Price has now gone from 559 to 645.

Blimey, that's quite a jump! Think I'll keep hold of mine now.

How do you find it? Ive been thinking of getting one but is it worth the extra money compared to the 18-55.

If I got one it would mean selling my 23 1.4 which would be better in low light.

I'm more inclined to sell mine ! I'm leaning towards the 50-140, I was considering the 100-400 but I think it'll be only used on a rare occasion.

Yeah the 90mm has gone up £50 too.

The 16-55 is great and lightning fast on the xt2.
Plus points for me are :
Faster
Aperture ring
Constant 2.8
Wider

I haven't been keeping tabs on the refurb prices but some of the prices seem surprisingly high I.e the 60 and the 18 at £349 and £339 !

Can anyone who has/had both condense the real world benefits of the X-T2 over the X-T1 in a nutshell, please?

Only one lens will be required as we can crop the hell out of it and still print A3!!!

Interesting product, but at that price and weight, it can stay on the shelf!
Is it seriously priced at £10K ? Isn't the new Hasselblad cheaper than that ?

1) Speed - its just faster everywhere - switch on, focus lock, writing to cards
2) New battery seems to give greay battery life, probably double of what an X-T1 can do - and thats with a single battery
3) ACROS simulation - very film like at high ISO and uses different in camera algorithms to those from third parties eg Lightroom, Silver eFex, etc
4) EVF higher refresh just makes it seamless, and also less blackout when taking shots.

You'll have to try one to realise that it has really moved the game on, if you thought the X-T1 was good, you'll think the X-T2 is fantastic

Is it just me or is anyone else loving the X Pro 2 more ?

Ergonomically it's much better. Buttons are easier to use.
Menu is improved with a My Menu function.
Focus joystick button is super.
AF is lightning fast...look at our pictures from Oulton Park on Saturday.
Everything is up at least one notch. It's hard to be very specific because everything is just better.

No way unless you're a professional or have money to burn. Will be happy to get my hands on the XT2 when Wex tell me stock has arrived.

Since everyone is rather taken by the Acros thought I give it a go, the green version

Oh..... by Graham Norton, on Flickr

XT-2 and 16-55 f2.8
That acros really is great. I didnt realise they did filtered versions too. The grain is really nice, perfect example around the hand on the left, but clean in the well exposed areas.
Green filter is great for skin tones, nice shot. :)

Thanks Jimmy my first play with the film sims. In the default button set up press the left d-pad and gives you a brief explanation of them all.

I'm a soon to be X-T2 owner... as soon as I can actually get my hands on one! My local camera shop has had stock on order since launch, and they say that Fuji can't even give them an approximate date of when more stock will be in
