I'll decide that, all in good time. But unlike Mercedes any penalty not used in the first race will be carried over until all pints have been bought.

Wheaty bangs now ingested and hacksaw has been wielded.
All tests done at 10mm.
If I cut off the outer filter slots then the dark line down the sides disappears completely. Result.
If I then add a CPL to the lens (72mm screw in) the the dark lines reappear when the filter holder is fitted. Bad show, old boy.
If I cut off the second row of slots and refit the holder then the dark line again disappears. Another result.
If I add my 10 stop on top of the CPL then the dark line reappears. I would have to cut off the third row of slots to get this to disappear, but that would mean that I'd nowhere to fit the grads, which rather defeats the object.
The line down the side is very narrow indeed and only a small crop would be needed to remove this.
I did use the Lee system from my Canon days and this caused me no problems; but it was big and out of proportion to the Fuji system so I sold it.
Here is a crappy shot - ignore the quality. This is the 10-24 at 10mm. There is a Hoya PRO1 CPL and a Hoya Pro ND 3 stop on the front of the lens. Then there is the holder ring and then the filter holder itself cut down to just one slot. No Grads fitted for this test. You can see that there is now some small vignetting, but this only appears when the 3 stop was added. The line down the side is wonky - because I am! But it shows clearly. This line is approximately twice the width that I saw just using the filter holder with three slots, but no on lens screw in filters.
That's quite a lot of gear stuck on in front of a 10mm setting so only you can decide if that is acceptable. Move up to 12mm and all lines disappear.
