The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

So there isn't a remote release? Odd.
I was presuming you were asking about third-party ones. It will be a while before they are produced. Up till then there will of course be the official, not cheap, Fuji version.

Interesting, as the port behind the door is USB3.
Yep. Existing RR90 releases do not fit. But....if you have an old 2.5mm jack plug release that does fit and does work. Or use Yongnuo RF 603 remote triggers. They work.

Just seen earlier post. Yes indeed you can fit and old fashioned screw in cable release to the shutter button. That works. Put a cloth over your head and you'll look like a real pro.

Most pros look better with cloths over their heads ...

At last, the voice of reason :)

This is a really interesting idea using the X70. The widest I have is also the 18-135 and I am keen on long exposures. Not sure I can merit the cost of either a WA prime or the 10-24 for the number of shots and maybe the X70 is a more practical solution. The only trouble is I already have the X100T so that would be 3 Fuji cameras!

The X70 is only 18.5mm equivalent (FF 28mm) unless you add the WA adapter lens to it. SO it is no wider than your existing 18-135. Its main benefit is that it is pocketable which an X-T1 with 18-135 isn't!!!!

BTW you can never have enough Fuji cameras....

it also has a very good optical crop mode allowing you to change from 18mm to 35 & 50mm i think..

Fair shout. I was looking at it with the adapter which I think makes it a 21. Any thoughts on the IQ vs say the 10-24?

Lovely shot either way but it's the short exposure for me. It's a fantastic sky and a shame to lose the cloud structure in the longer exposure.

Short for me as well. TBH, I'd also like to see the original colour version.

@mickledore Sky from 1 and rest from 2, though the FOVs are different as well, I like the bit of foreground in 2 as it adds a sense of scale, but I don't like (the OCD part of me), that you've chopped the mid-platform on the LHS!!!!

How were you afternoon pics at the Brunner Mond Wharf, Winnington???

Your wish is my command, Sir.
I over worked it a touch to help with the intended conversion so the colours seem a tad OTT, but it was never intended for public consumption!
