Fuji don't seem to be doing offers with lenses other than the kit 18-55. You can buy just the body on its own. You don't have to take the lens or the grip. If you do get the grip you receive £100 reduction on the list price.
Grip is very tempting. For some reason it gives a massive boost to frame speed which is useful for moving objects plus it holds two extra batteries making three in total. Can't decide if I need one or just want one!
 
I've a quick question for you guys, given the sort of shots I take, which Fuji lens should I go for to test the system properly?

Reckon the 16-55 would be a good bet having had a quick look at your flickr photos. If you want a stabilised lens the smaller,lighter and cheaper 18-55 is also very good
 
Only thing about the X-T2 that puts me off (apart from the cost) is packing an APS-C sensor with 24mp. The cameras with 16mp from different manufacturers seem to be a good compromise between noise, image quality and print size.

Can't afford one now anyway, but if I could think I would wait and see what others say about it
 
Just for info, Argos seem to have a couple of good deals for XT-1 and XE-2 with the 18-55mm.......

Don't forget though John this being a crop sensor the field of view of the 18-55 will roughly be the equivalent of a 27-82 in FF terms.

I know but the price with a bundled lens would be much more attractive than buying body only and getting a separate lens. Seems strange to me to bundle a weather sealed camera with a non sealed lens, the 18-135 was after all the kit lens for the XT1. I've already got an 18-55 as well.

Found Jessops doing various bundles, including both versions of 35mm, 56mm, 50-140 and 100-400 as well as the 18-135mm I want. Just don't know if I trust buying from them or whether or not it is a good deal, will need to investigate prices.

Same sensor / processor as the X-Pro 2 and if anything the high iso is better than the 16mp XT1.

Jessops bundles look no good to me. With the 56 you are paying £730 for the lens. With the 50-140 £1101. With the 18-135 £588. You can definitely get that glass cheaper elsewhere.

Using the same lens and in camera settings, you'll be very hard pushed to see any difference in an A3+ print from the two. The X-T1 handles much more like an old SLR, with plenty of direct dial controls on the body rather than being menu driven. The X-T1 is also weather resistant and has a flippy screen. No true OVF on the X-T1.

I can't comment about the cheaper ebay one, but I'm happy with the original and have the slide as well. For the £12 extra I think it's worth buying the original bearing in mind it's strapped to an expensive camera.

I also have a PD wrist strap and chop change between that and a Footprint leather wrist strap.

One offers better safety and the other looks cool. I'll let you work out which [emoji6]

There's no such thing as an ideal landscape lens - for me I find myself using the 35mm just as frequently as a wide-angle lens for landscapes, so it depends on your own pecadilloes. However, it is a really excellent lens.

The 10-24 and 18-135/55 allow far more freedom! Rarely need f/1.4 for landscapes...
 
After swearing blind I wasn't interested and my X-Pro2 is just fine, I have been convinced by management that I really should buy the X-T2. So my question is, amongst those of you who have pre-ordered, whom have you ordered it from? I'm not interested in any of the extras, just body-only.

The fact it makes you work for your shots is what appeals the most and the primes in most cases are simply stunning!

16-55 (or 18-55) with the 55-200 will do me for zooms and im sure I can pick those up with the sales of the Olympus kit and canon kit with a few quid for a nice holiday to spare!

Um, I think the a6000 is supposed to be the king of mirrorless tracking? At least up until the X-T2. Either way, the X-T1 is a great camera, and I manage to shoot pics of my toddlers in single shot mode with no probs.
 
Now giving serious thought about moving back to Fuji X system (yet again), I so love what the X system delivers in the way of the end result. I do/did miss it.........lots. I'm pretty sure my current Nikon D810 body and Nikon/Samyang/Sigma lens line up will be up for sale within a short period.

I'll probably be aiming for a X-T1 body, lens wise something like these; XF10-24 - XF35 - XF56 and a longer X zoom of some sort.

I'll be up for Fuji X trades against any of my Nikon kit, feel free to make me an offer. Thank you.

The a6000 is better than the Olympus and Fuji kit bar the xt1, xpro2 I believe. The problem is its a boring camera to use, it doesn't make you work for your images, a little like a point and shoot and bar its size doesn't really have much going for it that you can't get out of an canon 700D or a Nikon D5300 etc. The brief moment I used the xt1 it was miles beyond the a6000 hitting over 50% which I hope can be improved on as I get used to how it works.. A6300 however is another story entirely! I had a hit rate of about 35-40% on the a6000. A friend of mine gets 75%+ from his a6300 which is about what I get from the 7D. It's perhaps a little less with the xt1 however compromise in performance is small but the advantages on size and weight I'm hoping will out weigh it.

Interesting feedback. The Fuji cameras are certainly a lot nicer to use than Sony's, if nothing else. If tracking is better too, then that's a slam dunk.

Ordered mine from Jessops. Put down a £500 deposit and will pay for the rest interest free over 12 months.

Here are few picks from a weekend trip to Worthing. Since I brought this Fuji X-T10 I just use the images SOC.
I have been on a printing binge, and the quality is really sweet. Love using this camera. All the pics were taken using the 27mm.

The 16mm is a brilliant landscape lens but only if you feel that its a focal length you would use, personally for me its as wide as I like to go but like others have said theres no such thing as a "landscape" lens, and I certainly have used the 16-55 probably most often for this kind of thing but I love the 16mm prime too!

I have a pre-order in but I'd been thinking of canning it, ordered from WEX. I probably would prefer to take advantage of one of the 0% deals on it so may re-order although I guess that might put me back down the queue.

After a lot of though I've decided to stick fully with Fuji, especially as I think the XT2 AF will deliver anything I need as the image quality of the X-Pro 2 can't bbe faulted (even if post processing isn't quite as flexible as a Nikon). Its likely I'll need to part fund the XT2 by selling my 16mm and 56mm leaving me with the 16-55, 50-140 (&1.4x TC) and the 23mm f1.4 bbut really that covers all.... I also want to pickup a drone but I might delay that until next year now as £1000+ is a lot to spend on something thats likely to sit around the house a lot over the autumn/winter months.
