Tempting but having considered the refurb I'm not sure what I would do with a 135mm focal length!

for looking and any comments welcome.,I been reading a Mag/Book on B&W photography in an attempt to try and improve my B&W presentations. So I've been playing around with a few shots and various different mono conversions. This shot's of the "Old Borough Arms" at the bottom of Mermaid Street (Rye).

Nice framing on the left and right with nice light on the main building![]()
Always tough to shoot in direct sunlight but you controlled highlights well. As said, nice framing. I like the tone of the sky, did you use a red filter or is it a result of the bright whites pulling the exposure down?I been reading a Mag/Book on B&W photography in an attempt to try and improve my B&W presentations. Honestly, I can see no discernable difference. I'm viewing on my phone but the images don't seem full size. Can you guys give me some feedback, please:

Either way, exposure is spot on. Looks like a nice place![]()

It's a nice capture nonetheless. I very much doubt either processing style would make or break it, but I understand what you're trying to do.
Maybe link to Flickr for proper resolutions?
Edit: also, is that a subtle sepia tone or just my phone screen warming it up? Adds to the image either way lol
Updates to body's & lenses all installed and working perfectly. Absolutely no problems whatsoever.

Shame they arent a bit more exciting.
Really really like this, such an evocative image that has been nicely rendered in B&W.
Will be a tad picky though and suggest a minor perspective correction to make the bars straight.
Thanks - and you're right about the bars (my laziness - I always forget something!)
That's a lot of firmware updating I need to do this evening!
Cracking shot!
They are already in there. How do you get these profiles into LR ?
