The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

If you're a competent photographer then you shouldn't need OIS at 16-55mm! Fuji obviously agree!
Hmmmm , that's me told  Paradoxically the 18-55mm with OIS is a small and easily handled lens, whereas the 16-55mm is a brute more than double the weight of the 18-55mm, as our colonial cousins would say "go figure" It's a really nice lens, but as I'm old, I'd prefer it to have OIS, I'd also like to be a competent photographer, I'd also like to have more hair and be 30 years younger

I'm on Shepherd Neame 1698. Only 6.5%.
Nice, but dangerous. I love belgian beer but most are seriously strong, good at the time. I'm having a few Proper job IPA's and listening to Dr Feelgood Stupidity album, Cornish beer and Canvey Island, an eclectic mix for sure !

Before I crack open a beer after the disappointment of the Helios I decided to get out some old Pentax Lenses I bought and have a play in the garden so nothing exciting. All jpegs as I forgot to change to raw

The Tank that is Kiron 70-210 took this not bad for £15 and this is at full zoom 200mm

For the record, I feel a bit bad that I got Andrew banned from this thread. I've asked for a mod to reverse it. I'll try to be slower to anger in the future. Sorry folks. :(

Shut up. Get another beer mate.

Don't feel too bad, he misread/misunderstood my post and started name calling, I think that's more what did it.

Name calling think that was you??

Anyway sorry folks let get back on track pls [emoji106]

Just thought I should announce I bought an XE1 for Infra Red conversion, Given that the conversion will cost £250 I decided not to plump for the extra cost of another XT style body. IR is a sunny weather pastime so definitely not in need of weather sealing!

Mine was done by Protech (by the previous owner) - no complaints

This time next week (well, maybe in the evenings) I'll be on the draught Theakstons OP in Swaledale.

Actually its to do with keeping the size manageable, don't need ois, but it certainly helps a lot of the time. Bit like not needing power steering on a car, but its nice to have and nothing to do with competence

:agree: Couldn't agree with you more Rich.(y)

George.

That's a very nice shot Sir, not seen one of those instruments for years. Great comp', and very well suited to mono.(y)

Just a simple shot of some "Bleeding Heart" flowers from the garden.

OOH nice - Swaledale I mean.
Whereabouts in Swaledale?
Staying in Muker. In the flat opposite and owned by the Farmers Arms. We stayed there last year as well .... Very cosy, good value, and dog-friendly. Bliss!
