The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

I don't desperately need it, but there are times when this will be handy. At £30 posted inc adaptor it seemed silly not to snap it up.

@Mr Perceptive - Here is the raw untouched metering shot I took.

Will be having a play with this now. I think in hindsight the ND hasnt added much to the image.

Hope you don't mind but I've just had a play at converting to mono. Only had the JPEG to work on so it's far from the best. Think I prefer this to the colour version, but then I'm biased!

Playing with B&W now. I love what you have done to the sky, cant seem to get anywhere close to as dramatic as yours :(

All I did was use Silver Effex. I did put some control points on the two side flanks and some more across the sky but don't ask what the settings were!

One of the most important lessons in photography is knowing when not to use something (as well as knowing when to use it). We are all learning all the time, but just because you have something in your kit bag doesn't mean that you have to use it, the common landscape mistake is to shoot everything superwide because I have a lens that can!!!! With a wide angle there has to something obvious in the scene and moving relatively fast to warrant an ND filter.

No, sorry, can't make that one, with the snow forecast today and tomorrow and the sunshine forecast for Saturday, you should have a good day though.
No worries. It's all weather dependant.
I was thinking of going this morning, but it was raining when I got up. Sun is shining now but it is forecast to pee down before lunch.
Hadn't realised that this is also a Bank Holiday w/e which means Lakes will be full of grockles who don't know where they are, how they got there or where they are going next. If I go it will be early before the roads get clogged. The Walna Scar road is not the best place to be behind some holiday makers in Chelsea tractors trying to give their kids "Quality time"!!!
Might not even go till Tuesday - it's all fluid.

You just 7 systems then, one for each day of the week:-

Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Fuji, Panasonic, Sony and Olympus, that should do it, then each day you could just take which one you prefer that day!!

Not a bad idea. Do you have an issue with how people spend their money?

@Mr Perceptive + @mickledore wont spam the thread with any more of the same image but I tried again last night based on advise.
Tad underexposed I think but here it is... I like it more than the original - thanks for the pointers.
