The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

Really nice, particularly the squirrel shot :) The 50-230mm has to be one of the best bang for buck lenses in the range, superb optics!

Its probably my least used lens but for trips to zoo etc cant be beaten. I did try some herons in flight but too far away.

Few more with the 100-400:

I really like the handling of the X-T1\100-400 as a package, I much prefer it over the 1D4\7D\150-600. Hopefully the X-T2 will bring AF enhancements (better tracking and back button focusing) and I really hope they can do something with the EVF "blackout".

Great stuff jj. I am very pleasantly surprised at how the 100-400 feels on the X-T10, let alone the X-T1. The throw even at 400mm is fairly minimal so it just feels like a long prime rather than a super extended zoom.

Tripod foot is tiny though, used to occasionally hold big heavy teles by the foot but that's not an option with this one.

Would like to see a longer minimum distance on the limiter as well, 5m is nothing when you're using such a long zoom. At the zoo it wasn't long enough to get past the fences, 8m would be perfect (I'm spoiled there as my old Sony could be configured in camera)

I was a bit miffed at the stubby little foot as well at first, but when it's used with a BR strap it's actually quite nice as it doesn't get in the way.

Quickie, has anyone got or used the Lee Seven5 filter system? I see its sized and designed for mirrorless but I was a little worried that it might not be big enough for some wider angle lenses like the 10-24 or 12mm without vignetting.

I read a lot of comments on other Fuji forums that there is definite vignetting on the 14mm with the Seven5 system, so I went for the full 100mm system for my 10-24mm.

Thanks Andrew, I might as well just keep my 100mm filters then, saves me a fortune too!

I bought the seven5 then regretted it when I got the 10-24. Luckily I kept the 100mm system. The seven 5 worked fine with the 18-55 and 14mm for me but doesn't even cover the 10-24!

Vignettes on the 10-24 from about 13mm and wider.

Had my first outing with the 100-400 for motorsport today, it did not go well...

Castle Combe? I turned up as everyone was leaving, sad times :(

Yup, I was there from 9am, freezing! First time in 66 years they've had to cancel.

Such as shame, I was really looking forward to it! Oh well, l'm going to try and make the 16th next month, but it's also the Bike Festival at Prescott on the 17th... Not sure I'll get a pass out for both days! :D

That was my biggest annoyance, pretty rare that I can get out now so I've lost a day. Tempted to combine the Action Day at Combe and the Silverstone 24hr next weekend if the weather is good, two birds with one stone and all that!

Hmmm. I'd kinda dismissed the action day but looking into it, it looks a lot more interesting than your usual track day...

Alfaholics on the 9th, how did I miss that!?

TAKE ALL THE THINGS! Seriously though, depends on your style. Tbh i've always advocated zooms, but since my wildlife stuff has tapered off I find myself at 35mm or 50mm 9 times out of 10.

Happy Easter everyone. Few from today.
Weather was questionable... Ticked off a few of the local photography spots. Considering it a "planning" trip.
First was with 12mm and the rest with 18-135mm which i'm loving.

5 or 6 more on my Flickr.
