I think your next step is to stop messing with it and take it back where you bought it. Deffo sounds faulty.

I like this - not at all overcooked for my tastes. What was the bracketing range needed?Don't normally do HDR, but here's a 7 shot HDR...

For you X-T1 guys and gals who never enter the macro forum. Both using a Laowa 60mm f/2.8 Ultra Macro, the second with tubes @ 4:1.

Those are amazing - both in terms of photographic quality and the actual creatures. Are they native to the UK?
Here's a question for those of you who use flash with the X-T1 (or any camera with EVF for that matter). Using the X-T1 with the Yongnuo flash and TX unit indoors and finding it difficult to frame the subject as it's too dark on the screen. The only way seems to be to take a photo then adjust after viewing. A bit of a pain, especially when using the phone app to trigger the camera.
I'm guessing there's no way around this?
I may be slightly misunderstanding your question but if not, could you not manually adjust the f-stop whilst you frame then return it to where you want it once done? That's how I have to use the all manual Laowa lens a lot of the time.
Found it. I'm assuming you are shooting in manual mode.
Menu>Blue settings#1>Screen set up>Preview Exp/Wb in Manual Mode.
Choose which option you want.
I have it set on one of my buttons.
Awesome indeed as i was having similar situations as you fabs and pretty much winging each shot.Frank, that's awesome! Thanks.![]()

How are you merging them? Normal HDR software won't work with them values will it?
Ive emailed them asking if they are still selling your old one,but there is another one, which was yours the £159 or 169?if they are selling it its the last thing i buy from them i mean i won't lolOrdered a 27mm from Ffordes which came today and seems to be fine. Noticed yesterday that mpb had one for sale even though they told me they couldn't get a replacement and had quoted for some to buy on wednesday but the offers hadn't been accepted. I'm sure the boxed one at £159 is the one I returned.

Bootlegger by Stuart Pardue, on FlickrWhen using the X-T1 with the Laowa 60m and various microscope and enlarger lenses, you need to put the camera into "Shoot without lens" mode. Quite often, in this mode, the camera will lock out the screen completely, meaning no live view, preview or even menus can be viewed on-screen, only through the VF. Anybody else find this? I have to do a camera setup reset in order to bring it back to normal. Am I missing something or setting something wrong?
if I wanted to use the in camera raw convertor editing facility,is there a way to show the process on a larger screen?
Lightroom, Photo > Photo Merge -> HDR just worked![]()
Is that just a CC feature? I presume you are on subscription, not stand alone?
No don't have this, mine is setup in shoot without a lens all the time. The Fuji lenses still work just fine and still report the correct Exif data

Are you sure you're not accidentally triggering the eye sensor somehow, meaning display is switched to the viewfinder? I've used plenty of MF lenses and not noticed this behaviour. BTW I also leave 'Shoot without lens' on all the time![]()

Were you shooting at ISO 100 by chance as the native output at 100 is JPEG even if your camera is set to RAWNoticed something odd from doing the product shots yesterday. I always have the camera set to shoot raw but most of yesterdays shots uploaded to Lightroom as JPG.
double checked the camera and it's definitely set to raw so I'm confused as to how it happened.![]()
