The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

No, a lens is on and I'd expect it to hunt but it still fires even though the lens cap is on.

Lol, I didn't even read your earlier post correctly. Somehow managed to read lens cap on as no lens on. I'm rather ill today and it seems to be taking its toll.

There is another option in the menu which prioritizes shooting speed over acquiring focus I think.

Has anyone who bought an xt-1/ 18-135 combo with the cashback and free grip offer recieved the grip yet?
I have recieved the cashback but no grip yet

When I bought this deal last summer, the dealer supplied the grip at the time of purchase. I suggest that you contact Fuji and ask how it's supposed to work, and then either chase Fuji or the dealer for the grip

That's in the menu under Menu 1>Autofocus Setting>Instant AF Setting. If you choose AF-C I think you will solve your problem. I suspect you are on AF-S.

I've tried a number of difference settings in the menus but it's still happening.

Not a biggie though, just seems odd.

I like the composition a lot and prefer the colour but both look just a little overcooked. I'd also rotate just a degree or two to the right.

Like both and normally I would have picked the Black and white but I do like the colour.May have just toned down the saturation a little but that's just my opinion.

Thanks guys. I agree with all you say. I was just unsure what to do but you've given me ideas.

Muchos gracias.

The black and white for me is the best yet they'd both look better without the vignette on them.

Just brought an 55-200 XF from the classifieds. This is soooooo much better than the XC. Here is my fave so far:

That's a stunner! Great contrast. What do you find better about the XF lens by the way? I have both but haven't done a side to side comparison yet.

Looking for some advice from X-T1 and XT-10 folks. I'm looking to one of them of for my upcoming trips, Vietnam, Svalbard, Iceland and Tokyo. I'm not quite sure which to get I was adamant on the T1 because of the weather sealing however the T10 would save me a lot of money to buy more lenses. I'm just worried that when I go to these places the weather might just destroy the T10. Any opinions on if the weather sealing on the T1 is worth it or should I save myself £500 and go on the T10 route?

I think more importantly is the difference in size in the cameras, I would go and hold each of them first to make sure that you are comfortable with either of them before going down the weather-sealed route.

Back from a Snowboarding trip and glad to say the XT1 performed great - Had it with the 27mm lens while on the slopes as its extremely compact.
Thanks for all the advice last week :) Only had one afternoon where condensation proved to be an issue.
Here's one of my favorites shot from inside the apartment (3 shot stitch with 16-55) - one or two action shots to follow during the week.

Having just taken mine snowboarding I was really glad I got the XT1 - not having to worry as much about the camera made using it daily more pleasurable,

I agree with Mr P. Go and hold them first to see how they feel. Then buy the XT1........ ;)

The XT-1 is the best bet given where you are going. Not only is it weather sealed its got more features / functions than the T10.

I find it focuses slightly quicker than the XC, but its the IQ and build quality that stands out. Its a fair bit bigger than the XC and a bit more weighty which feels nice to handle.
As its aperture is bigger than the XC, i find the bokeh is really nice and the subject really pops out of the picture. I hesitated for ages on buying one because I liked the XC so much but i'm glad i have now.

Very nice and I believe there is a 55-200 in the classifieds:) in case anyone is suffering from gas this evening
I am, and I've been looking for a 55-200.....but Mrs A says I've run out of money for the moment (n)

The refurb store has X-T10s back in stock, they usually don't hang around long. Weirdly the paypal12 discount code still works although they no longer accept Paypal (yes, I bought one)!

Just in case anyone order the amazon warehouse deals with the 30% off over Christmas I've just had confirmation of the £75 cashback for the Camera and also the lens which I purchased separately, winner!!!

Any one used a Nikon to Fuji X adapter? Looking for a cheap way of using my Lensbaby on my X-T10 with out having to fork out for an X mount lensbaby.
