Just out of interest - I got fed up waiting for anyone to swap a 35mm f1.4 for my 27mm f2.8 (in the classifieds), so I took advantage of the present lens promotion and bought a new 35mm f1.4.
Wow, done a few test shots with it this morning and it's insanely sharp with great colour etc.. I don't care if the autofocus is slower for my type of use, I'm chuffed to beans!!
 
I bought a 35mm 1.4 as part of the deal when I traded in my Canon gear. It's hardly ever off my camera. Yes the af isn't super fast but for my style of photography that isn't a consideration. It's fast enough for normal needs and super sharp. Glad I got it
 
Looking to get a XT-10, how does the viewfinder compare to the XE-1 or XE-2, in the specs its smaller, but is this noticeable? XT-1 is slightly too much until later this year, as I am buying lenses.


I have tried searching the thread, but cant find a comparison.

Want to sell that poor 27mm yet, it must be bored sat off the camera :p
 
I've an old Helios (44-2) 2/58mm lens lying about. Could I attach this to my X bodies....?.....and if so, what fitting would I need to buy please, and where from?

What are people's thoughts on the Samyang 12mm?
Worth a punt?
It gets decent enough reviews but wondering if any of the enlightened on here has one and their thoughts on it? [emoji2]
 
I know, I've had a big New Year sort out, moving out the zoom and going back to the prime route, I've put a call out for 23mm in the wanted section!
Got my 14mm still and eventually end up with a 35mm F/2 as well, then I'll be done... I'm sure of it..

Given a 1 lens solution I would take the 23mm, 2 lenses 23+56 and 3 lenses 14+23+56

Why I delayed so long getting a 23mm I'll never understand, best of luck with finding one.

Hi all. Anyone move from an Oly EM1 to Fuji XT10 or XT1? If so what differences did you notice in image quality etc. Im using my Em1 with the 12-40 2.8 and an Oly 45mm 1.8 both very sharp. I have GAS so tempted to have a change :)

That's the 3 lens line up I'm going for, I did have a 23mm, sold it to get an X100s, but now looking at the pictures I have from both I prefer my 23mm photos so back I go!
 
My line up has remained settled for a couple of months now! Longest ever.

8,18,23,27,35,56,90 & 10-24,16-50,55-200

I did. I had the EM1 with 12-40 and a Panny 100-300. I sold my XT1 just after I bought the Oly, but regretted it instantly.
Ended up buying another XT1 a while ago.
I've just been looking through my Xt1 images and comparing them to similar EM1 images and IQ is better in every XT1 shot. Not by much though, but one thing that stands out is that finer detail is resolved better, which is great for me because I tend to crop a lot.
There are a few YouTube videos comparing the EM1 and XT1 side by side. Might be worth a search?
