The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

First proper walkabout with the XT-10 and 35mm (1.4), found some interesting graffiti that caught my eye.

Have just added an XT10 with 18-55 kit to go with my 6D. Early impressions are excellent. Looking forward to adding some pictures to this thread. :)

Nice shot that George.
We don't get ice any more; just rain, rain and more rain.

Thanks for that Frank, appreciate your comments.(y)

"We've only had two frosts down here so far this winter, and today is just heavy rain but nowhere near as bad as you guys living up country have been getting".

George.

Love those moody mono's...∆∆ great processing skills.....!

Superb.

Thanks for the kind comment

Surprisingly little processing (I don't really do much!) Import into Lightroom, apply Camera Preset, slight expsoure adjust, then export to Silver Efex Pro, apply a preset filter, tweak levels, back to lightoom, sharpen and detail increases if required then export. Less than 3-5 mins per photo!!!

Some lovely images above. Nice work people!

Just ordered a Cordweaver wrist strap for my X-T1. Hope it does the job.

Mr Perspective;

What kind of price is Silver Efex Pro ? How do you import it into LR5?

I use Adobe LR5 myself and like it a lot.

Peter, it's all owned by Google now, I think it's about £100 for all the Nik Efex packages

Once installed, you get an option in Lightroom to 'Edit In' and then you can select the required 3rd party tool, when you quit the tool you return to Lightroom

I have both LR and CS...the standalone versions.
Somehow Nik and Adobe talk to/recognise each other and you just right click on the image and take your pick.

The link I posted let's you download a trial version so you can sort out any issues before you part with your hard earned.

Who else hates receiving a new camera in the middle of a load of 12 hour days so no time to use it :(
However I've done the menus to death on my new X-T10 and can't wait to get a bit of real use going :) put the 55-200 on it and not too sure, might chop it in for something else, just need to convince myself I don't need the zoom...

Adam

The size of the 55-200 on the body, only had a quick play so not had any real use yet. Not sure I use the 55-200 enough to justify keeping it anyway.. It's such a good lens though, decisions to be made!
I had one a while ago and sold it when I sold all my Fuji gear. Now I'm a Fuji man again, I must get another 55-200, I miss it.
You could try a grip on your XT-10, it might balance the lens a bit better, or you could sell it to me when I have saved a bit more money...........

Well there could be one for sale very soon! I'm going to give it a whirl at the weekend and see if I can get used to it :)

I am new to this thread...
This is because I've just bought an xt-10!
I swapped in my 7d for it and at the moment I am loving it! Iso handling is brilliant. I may even swap my 5d if I get on with the range of lenses. Can anyone give me a little advise on the longer end of the lens line up? How does the 90mm perform? 56mm?
For me it's going to be an expense moving over to Fuji completely, but I can't be doing with lugging around 2 heavy canon body's anymore!

The 56 and 90 are both fantastic lenses. The 90 might be a bit too front heavy on the X-T10 unless you are using a grip, I'd recommend finding them to try before buying and make sure you are comfortable with them.
The last image on my Flickr page was a portrait using the 90 and there are some flower shots a bit further down the page.

Thanks I will take a look. They don't do a battery grip for the xt10 do they? I was looking at the grips anyway as I'm totally used to dslrs with battery grips, so although I'm digging the size, it's very difficult to get used to!
