The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

Well I was scouting the interwebs tonight for my filter kit to use with the XT1.
Having set my heart on Hitech filters I headed over to the official Format Hitech website and started adding stuff into the basket.
As usual though, before pulling the trigger I always see if I can source a better deal.

My current cart stood at £65 for the following items -
67mm aluminium holder
58-67mm adaptor
IRND 1.8 (6 stop) ND filter
0.6 (2 stop) soft edge ND grad

After a little trip onto eBay though I found a Format Hitech Colby Brown signature kit. Brand new the buyer wanted £32 or "make an offer". I made an offer of £25 and won!
Granted the adaptor ring is 43mm but a few quid will get me a 58-67mm.

A bargain me thinks :D

The guy had two, I bought one so there is still another one available if anyone was interested.

Santa brought me an XT1 Graphite and 18-135 - very pleased with it so far and thanks again for all the advice a few weeks back

Congrats' to you Mike, You're gonna love that unit but make sure you hitch some spare batt's.(y)

George.

Been playing with our new X-T1 graphite 18-55 all day.

Bloody hell these are good little cameras!

Congrat's to you Ryan, that's a real good set up and the 18-55mm lens is right on the money.(y)

George.

I'm going to play with yours first!
Got the 10 - 24 so you'll have to persuade me to ditch that maybe for the 23 & 14 combo.

Planning going back to New Brighton on Thursday when the tide times will be kinder. Fancy a trip out?

Anyone else fancy a trip to New Brighton?

Hey guys, an ex- ex1 owner here, regretted selling it and my 23mm and now looking at getting an XT10. Where's best/cheapest place to get one you reckon? (2nd hand/refurbished)

If I can get it cheap enough I can maybe get 18+35mm if not will have to go for the 18-55

Amazon warehouse are giving 30% off at the moment (you see the discount when you go to pay). They have one "like new" 23/1.4 in stock, at £364.70 after discount. You get a standard invoice, so assuming Fuji payout on the £75 cashback, it could be yours for £289.70.

Frank, possibly, would know for definite on Weds, but looking reasonably good!

Timings are important. I got there 2 hours before high tide but was too late for what I wanted to do. High tide on Thursday is 14.47. I would aim to get there 11AM and hang around while the tide comes in over the groynes.
Wellies to the right of them.
Wellies to the left of them.

Picked up an X-T10 with the 35mm 1.4 a few weeks ago and have been enjoying it so much that I've already ordered the 10-24mm & 56mm and sold my m43 setup. Weighing up whether it's worth buying an X-T1....

The first sunny day since Allah knows when, so I've been out playing with the new 35mm. That is seriously sharp on the uncompressed version. Got the tide wrong so looks like I'll be back there later this week.

That's nice Frank, great comp', good lead in, and some nice mono tones.(y)

George.

Should be pretty good Marc, I use some similar "Pixco" tubes 16 & 10mm set from flea-bay and they work real good with the 18-55mm lens. They're also less expensive than those.(y)

George.

Thanks George.

I have an Amazon voucher burning a hole which is even cheaper. :D
